Ok. So. You never answered my question.

Why are you defending this ?

A simple question.

Your answer is ?
You're OP doesn't provide any facts. You cite rumours and use the word allegedly. So wtf are you talking about? You're either the funniest guy in the forum, or the worst troll. Your pick.

Bryant, I think it would help your case if you told us how much you were paid to beat up those Mexican's in your last 2 fights or how much you paid to beat them up. https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/297049

Again with the insults. More about that later

Yes. Intelligent people use the term “allegedly” when describing something they didn’t see firsthand.

How about this, ask John if any of this is true.

Just ask him !!

If he says no of it is true, no “Martha” ,
No banning of results or American wins then I will stand corrected.

Until then...

Just ask him !!

John, tell him !!!

Oh yes , about the insults.

You are obviously a non contact sport Protestant Orangeman pudendum that knows not a thing about boxing and has never participated in any contact sports. Probably slow class and jealous of boxers.

Each time I fight it cost me and one guy told me he was going to knock me out in two rounds - my trainer said good, we want you to fight as hard as you can.
I have first hand knowledge and have been there and seen the cards first hand and spoke to many people involved and I can tell you there is no fraudulent fights taking place. The first time I fought there a 13-0 American got a draw with an “inferior on paper” Mexican. That’s how fixed it is. It isn’t.
So first hand knowledge counts for nothing ?

Seeing these opponents who live in f-ing hovels and burnt out shacks and make more money in one fight then they would working in 6 months and the good that can do for their family ... makes you feel for them being targeted by someone who thinks they “know better”

So let’s all try again, I bring first hand experience and you bring ...

Two fights there. So you've seen everything. You're simply not making a compelling case.

Look up the card for my first fight there. Look up the 13-0 kid who got a draw. Look at that guys record. Not exactly an undefeated American blasting out an overmatched guy or a dive.

I was there twice to fight and a few more times not to.
It’s better than not being there at all and giving and opinion on zero information.

This is legit.

Ask john.

No one ever said every fight was fixed or bought and paid for. I'm not sure what your going on about. BoxRec isn't beholden to anyone and if they feel that they cannot verify a fight's authenticity, well that is what makes them a place of integrity. While I appreciate your concern over the local fighter's economic state, I don't think this is worth all the fuss you are making. BoxRec is not responsible for the fighters. Only the records, and as they see it.

I agree with that but also stress that you can’t cancel results form an entire area and card beuxae one fight may be fake or not , and have zero evidence.

unreal-- thank you for posting that link !!! I aml vindicated .

awesome detective work by TheBeast..Thank You !

Although it is tempting for me to say "I told you so" to some of the posters here who doubted this, it provides further independent evidence and corroboration as to what I have been stating.

Just reading the thread linked above we see what I have been saying- I am corrected, I guess it's "Marina" not "Martha" perhaps ? Not sure who this "Marina" is, I hear it is the wife of the owner of boxrec....

Also, yes, boxrec mods writing and having a thinly veiled hint/ threat that they do not like and may do something to halt with Americans winning in these border towns, namely, Tijuana.

Rosarito was chosen as a venue because of COVID, as it is outside on the beach, not in an arena as the Tijuana fights are.
That was not spelled out on that thread, but that is the reason I surmised and was told.

As far as the initial statement of "pay for wins"- if anyone had boxing experience, they would know that it does not mean paying fighters to lose or "take dives". Not at all. In no way.

The term "paying for wins" usually means that one fighter will (if he competes domestically in a hometown, for instance) take either a drastic pay cut, and/or (usually and) sell a lot of tickets himself to cover the bout expenses (opponent cost, travel, insurance, etc) for the promoter, and in return he gets an opponent or a choice of one of several opponents of his choosing within strict limits set forth by the commission, obviously in this case, the boxer/ manager is inclined to pick an easier opponent, but there are no dives, the fight is real.

In a foreign country it means the American will sometimes have to pay the opponent's purse. Again, the fight is real, and on occasion the opponent wins (I have experienced that-nothing quite as bad as paying a man to beat you). No one in mexico or (insert foreign country) ever heard of or cares about your 4-0 guy from New Jersey or will pay him and his opponent to fight.

"Paying for wins" is a term that can lead the uninitiated to some confusion. Again, it is not a guaranteed win at all, no one is quitting or throwing a fight, as evidenced by upsets that do take place.

We also see in that post something I alluded to, the cards having to be balanced with only a few Americans.

Again, this is legit, this is real. Now there is corroboration from an earlier post.

I do not think this is an honest use of boxrec's power and influence. I further believe that besides taking away what little money these opponent types have, whoever "Marina" turns out to be is really misunderstanding what "paying for wins" means in the parlance of the boxing business.

I am sorry for this long Odyssey of a topic, but I see I am not the only one who feels this way, and I am very accurate in my description and sources and accounts of what is transpiring.

IMO Boxrec should defer to the boxing commissions, or at least if fraud is suspected, have at least a video to review, and review these things on a case-by-case basis instead of damning the whole area/ town. city...

You and your stupid opinions and sympathies. Boxrec should make money from this and not from that.... boxrec should do this and that.... boxrec should help mexican fighters get registered fights so that some guy can make more in 1 day than he can in 6 months......

You've been in the boxing busines for 15 years wow.... and yet you've only made enough $$$ to buy yourself a used rusty old car. If you were such an important person and such a humanitarian that cared so deeply about these mexican fellows then youd dig into your own pocket to finance them instead of pushing them into the ring to get punched by superior opposition.

The fact of the matter is that you are a nobody thats trying to turn back on his penny machine with these posts, participating in boxing corruption at its finest. Just a selfserving small poor man.

What are you rage babbling about ???

I do give money to various charities and people, and yes myself and others do help out the people of Tijuana whenever we go there- be it money, clothing or high end boxing equipment. Probably more than you have eve done.

As far as getting Mexican people “registered” fights ,
What is a “registered fight”. ? Do you know how inept and utterly clueless that sounds ? Try to understand, I will type in small words for you as you obviously can not read big words nor understand.
If the Americans stop coming to Tijuana then there will be no fights at all (“registered”? Or not ,lol)

As far as being in the business for 15 years, that’s 15 more than you. So stay on the sidelines.

Now you are speaking on some car or something You allege I have ? Is that a metaphor for something? No. I doubt it. You probably so t know what’s metaphor is. How does my financial status equate to the value of my opinion ? Answer : it doesn’t. Sort of elitist, isn’t it ? As far as my finances, I am sure they are a lot better than yours.

If anyone here is “stupid” it’s you, fool. Getting all your boxing from PPV with no grasp on the economy, no idea how to manage, promote, work a corner, read a contract, or even know the difference between a left hook and a fish hook.

Hey, just because you probably never had the balls to get in the ring, and are in your mothers basement, don’t be bitter. Not everyone can be a boxer.
Be great at chess. No. With your lack of intellect, be great at checkers. No. That’s a reach also.

Be great a tic-tac-toe.

Buh-buy.
