Yes why not? Also Marlon Starling i would say is a worthy candidate. Buddy McGirt McGuigan Mancini and Arturo Gatti are all in. Lloyd dethroned Donald Curry who at the time was thought to be pound for pound the top boxer in the world. Yes i do believe there is a place in IBHOF for Lloyd Honeyghan.

The only way for the "Raggin Muffin Man" would get eventually inducted later in the IBHOF by at least 10 to 20 years and the "Magic Man" Marlon Starling too like McGirt, McGuigan and Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini if every new retired fighters in any year had a weaker career resume, then the IBHOF would get induct guys like Honeyghan and Starling.

I hope he does but there's a good deal of difference between hoping and the actuality.

I suppose if you have been the undisputed Welterweight Champion of the World you are surely worthy of due consideration and Lloyd would go onto win (and lose) some major fights. He was also a major character in his prime.

It would be nice for him to get it but the Hall of Fame seems a funny old insitution.

A pretty similar situation to Buster Douglas. I'd induct both.

To play devil's advocate, I'd say No. 1-0 vs HOF'ers and 6-3 in world title fights. Think you have to better than that. Very impressive win over Curry, but got hammered good by Starling and Breland.
