How would their fight go, if both were a their best for the Light Middleweight division? 12 rounds.
I'd say, Hearns just couldn't be outboxed, while he was in prime. He had the only drawback in his chin. Hearns would keep Canelo at the end of his jab, bomb him with his right hands. Canelo would have chances only in scoring a KO, but it wouldn't be likely for him to do it, as Canelo is a methodical type of a boxer, he doesn't tend to show an urge.
I see Hearns taking a wide decision.
What are your thoughts on this matchup?

Hearns by wide decision as well.

Would probably be more competitive at 160.
I'd favor Hearns by KO. He could certainly outbox Alvarez, but I don't know that Alvarez's chin holds up to one of Tommy's rights. He never felt thunder like that.

Well, that's an interesting question, if Canelo would be able to take Hearns' right hands. Hearns obviously carried huge power in his right, but Canelo's chin is quite freakish, taking clean Golovkin's punches is a big deal.
Re: Thomas Hearns vs Canelo Alvarez at 154
He didn't get hit with GGG's Sunday Punch very often, usually he rolled with it or had just landed himself. He did take a few flush power shots, but I think Hearns would get that right hand in with a lot of speed and snap at some point, and it would be hard to imagine it couldn't hurt Canelo.
I have seen Canelo hurt badly once. Granted he was only 19 at the time, but it's not impossible to hurt him.
He is very tough though obviously.

Thomas Hearns was in another level at 154lbs. He was too good and scary at that weight.
Hearns by knockout in 2.

Tommy beats him like a drum. I'd be surprised if Canelo would survive 3 rounds. To much fire power from Tommy and to much skills. Canelo NEVER fought anyone in Tommys class, and we saw how lost he was against the skills of Mayweather. P4P Tommy might be the hardest puncher of anyone.
