Efe Ajagba: Sept 19th VS TBA
Efe Ajagba: Sept 19th VS TBA
Yup, no opponent named with 9 days to go as Efe needs a back to ring fight. I hope he steps up in his next one and maybe finally see some better head and foot movement.

Even with Joey losing 10-0 to Frankie and getting J on short notice? Joey is a tough ass hombre but has won 1 of his last 5 , surely their confidence in Efe is high enough?
Re: Efe Ajagba: Sept 19th VS TBA
I don't know about theirs, but mine has waned a bit. This is the new camp's first fight with him, so I'd imagine he'll be working on stuff in ring that he recently worked on in camp. No threat opponent.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑10 Sep 2020, 23:34 Even with Joey losing 10-0 to Frankie and getting J on short notice? Joey went dead even with Kuzman, who is probably more proven than Efe, Beat Hernandez who is kinda decent, and got out pointed by some decent guys. He is better than 1-5 last 6 suggests. I doubt we will see it on 9 days notice off the back of some pretty underwellming preformances by efe.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑10 Sep 2020, 23:34 Even with Joey losing 10-0 to Frankie and getting J on short notice? We could, mabey efe has been planning this for months, training is going well and they are just waiting so joey is less prepared. But Yea, i feel this opponent will be pathetic. mabey next one...

I predict it will be some relatively unknown sparring guy who gets paid to lay down in round two thus flattering ajagbe
Re: Efe Ajagba: Sept 19th VS TBA
Jonathon Rice is the opponent. Decent fight back. Rice almost beat McKean last time out.

Agreed. Point taken and accepted.
But out of curiosity, you’re not being sincere when you say you consider Jonathon Rice as being a decent opponent?
I know we often argue, but even you know that Rice isn’t a good opponent for someone like Ajagba.

Re: Efe Ajagba: Sept 19th VS TBA
I actually think rice is a decent opponent. He was arguably beating dempsy mckean before a round 10 KO loss, gave Makhmudov his hardest fight by a long way, Went the distance with Yoka (only 6 but still).
Ajagba hasnt looked great his last 3 fights in my opinion, and is technically lacking. I think this is the correct oponent for me witch is why im presently surprised. My only real concern is what shape will Rice be on post lock down on 9 days notice... Because he can get a bit heavy..
But IF rice is in shape, big IF, then this is a good fight for Efe, should win, But either gets some good learning rounds in, or gets an early stop on someone thats never been stopped early witch is always good press, both good options.

Don't misunderstand what I posted. I think Rice is s decent opponent in the sense that Efe has changed camps and presumably worked on new techniques. Rice is a decent opponent to have in order to test what he's learned in the gym. He'll give him some rounds (4 or 5) and hopefully make him work. Rice isn't decent in any other sense.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑12 Sep 2020, 17:53Agreed. Point taken and accepted.

Re: Efe Ajagba: Sept 19th VS TBA
Rice won't provide any danger for Ajagba. Hopefully, this is just a fight after the locldown and after it Ajagba takes on some gatekeeper.

So true what you mentioned above, Rice is very durable opponent.gregregegg wrote: ↑12 Sep 2020, 19:34 I actually think rice is a decent opponent. Don't care what Ajagba haters say, because they love English gay lips

what we love is the simple fact the all the HW belts are held by British boxers , and lets look ahead to a real talent emerging in Daniel Dubois .Boxtune wrote: ↑13 Sep 2020, 10:33So true what you mentioned above, Rice is very durable opponent.gregregegg wrote: ↑12 Sep 2020, 19:34 I actually think rice is a decent opponent.
