Typical FW show. Even with only 5 fights on the card. It started at 7:30pm!
No need for the floater. Could have had that after the main event.

I'm not bothering to score this, surely Yarde KOs or wins by a mile.

I'm not sure why Frank wants his main events on near midnight?Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑12 Sep 2020, 18:36 Typical FW show. Even with only 5 fights on the card. It started at 7:30pm!

Maybe he’s hoping that once Match Of The Day is finished, some blokes who have had a few tinnies and want to avoid going upstairs to the missus are looking for a bit more sportTheLeprechaun wrote: ↑12 Sep 2020, 18:43I'm not sure why Frank wants his main events on near midnight?Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑12 Sep 2020, 18:36 Typical FW show. Ok, I've got Addidas winning 3-2.
Kid Nytro won the first two.

Ref got a train to catch.

'Terrible stoppage, terrible card.
Fwank gotta sort it out - Ted vs Cheese alone beat his entire Covid output and even Channel 5 beat it with one live fight.

Lol, no I meant the ref !

Rubbish from Haye.
Re: Round-by-Round: Anthony Yarde vs. Dec Spelman - 12 September 2020
The Beast woulda gotta him out of there soon enough and I don't want Dec to get damaged, but he was willing and able to go at least one more KD.

That was a ‘main event’ in name only
Re: Round-by-Round: Anthony Yarde vs. Dec Spelman - 12 September 2020
I suspect Yarde would have finished it in round 7 but I feel for Spelman as he deserved to see out the round.
Re: Round-by-Round: Anthony Yarde vs. Dec Spelman - 12 September 2020
Woodall had Yards only one round up. Spelman was bouncing up on his toes and the ref waves it off. Haye said he chose to go down. Probably the sensible thing to do - we're often told that by the likes of Haye. I felt he deserved the fight to go on.

One good fight in over 4.5 hours on a Saturday night is very poor
The BT shows just drag on for ages. I did start to record them and forward through the cards but then you miss the feeling of it being live, the chance to enjoy a 'live' bet and trying not to see the results before you watch!
This card should've been 4 fights, back to back and be done for 10-10.30pm.
The card wasn't bad on paper, just the length of it. Hardly going to get new spectators interested in the sport after that...

Geeze thats a bad stoppage with 12 seconds left in the round, against a guy that has a history of slowing up.
IF thats how you ref, then Yarde won the Kov fight.. Whyte won the pov fight, rivas won the whyte fight, Wilder won the first fury fight, AJ won the first ruiz fight.... AJ vs Klitchco fight of the year lasts 5 rounds... And my personal favorite outcome is Price wins the thompson rematch, beats hammer and is probably fighting for a world title at some point.

Yeah that jahanza guy was dire. Showboating vs a guy with 100 loses. Yeah mate you're winning the fight as expected, no need to pull Prince Patel conduct. Frank making everyone sit through that before the main event. He's losing his mind.ScottDetonator wrote: ↑12 Sep 2020, 19:26 One good fight in over 4.5 hours on a Saturday night is very poor![]()

Bullshit stoppage probably wouldn't have made much difference but i thought Yarde looked poor.
Looked like a bigger Broner in there. Slow work rate, tippy tappy jab and trying to use the shoulder roll defence he was getting tagged over and over. Obviously had the gears to go through but would need to step up big time against anyone nearer his level.

Pissing dreadful stoppage, these UK officials are getting worse, get them in the bin along with Robert Smith, bad enough that we still have refs scoring fights here, it's a joke, as for the fight Spelman was tough , gritty as expected, was landing enough every round to make it a fight, Yarde was patient as ever, took a bit longer to get going, looked like he was working on things maybe, he threw plenty jabs but they were paws
He really stepped it up in the 6th though, began backing Spelman up but Spelman was still returning fire right until accumitive right hands forced him to take a count, looked good to carry on though definitely, I'd have fancied Yarde to force the stoppage soon after but who knows because ref shat the bed
Bloody UK officials in Matchrooms pockets eh? Or are the vast majority not up to standard??
