Billy, I'm with you here. Providing Dom has done the weight ok, he's been at heavyweight for a couple of years and retains most of his pride and ambition - this wont be easy for Macc.
Though Dom does walk forward, is short and squat too and doesn't carry a knockout punch.
Macc will win on points Ithink, unless Dom's heart isn't in it.
But if the odds are longer than they should be Dom is worth a fiver for interest.

No signs yet that Enzo is world class. He did well to get by Hobson, who is better than given credit for. Dominguez did got he distance v Valuev & some are saying he was robbed. I dunno...But Macca hits faster, cleaner and more often than Valuev. Dominguez is a podgy guy even at cruiser. He can give Macca a few scary moments, but Enzo's wicked body attack should deflate him.billy bessey wrote:maybe he is finished at world level but i really dont think enzo is world class i just think he has been well matched and i cant see how you were impressed with his last performance apart from the fact that he dug deep and it was a crowd pleaser that really wasnt world class. and what makes you think enzo will blow him away when the 330lb valuev didnt?
maybe im wrong but i think he will be a bigger price than he should be

Even though Dominguez isn't the same boxer he once was, his chin and survival skills seems to be just as strong. I'd be looking for a Macca win on points, will be interesting if Dominguez comes with a bit more ambition and trys to bully Macca in the closing rounds.
Hopefully Macca comes through unscathed ,then we can see him and Nelson get it on.
Nelson has said the knee has healed well, and he is ahead of schedule in his recovery.

Domiguez hasnt got enough ambition to win this fight. In fact I could see this one becoming a stinker, as Dominguez fights negatively in a survival mode and fiddles his way through making it very akward for Macc. He is a small fella in stature and will look fat on TV. Macc on points in a poor spectacle for the fans.

From icWales.co.uk
Argentinian veteran Marcelo Dominguez has warned Enzo Maccarinelli not to take victory for granted when they meet for the interim WBO cruiserweight title at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday.
Dominguez, now 36, wore the prestigious WBC belt for two years and has been in with top men at heavyweight as well as cruiser. It is an advantage he expects to make count.
'I don't know much about Maccarinelli, but he's a young boxer with no great names on his record.
'Of course, I respect him, but I think I'm at a time in my pro career that I can do everything better than ever. But to demonstrate this I must win on Saturday.'
Dominguez actually hung up the gloves after his previous visit to Britain, when he was outpointed in a 2001 WBO challenge with Johnny Nelson, the man still on the throne and awaiting this weekend's winner.
