Fast Eddie would still have him on standby I'd bet.
Re: Danny Williams retires

Anyone know his purses?

He'll back in action by the end of the year.
Agree with the comment on Eddie Hearn. With all his millions can he not give poor Danny some sort of gainful employment, even if it was just setting the ring up or something.

He retired after losing to Lee McCallister as well, sadly he will fight again
Re: Danny Williams retires
I think that’s it for him, no one goes on for ever. Good idea re Matchroom, why not, assuming Williams wants it of course.

Eddie won’t do anything with him and I wouldn’t expect him to. Was Eddie actually ever involved with him other than a prizefighter?
What about FW doing something with him given he would have been the main promoter to profit from working with Williams?

He deserves a belting retirement, great servant to the sport. Can’t help but think his nickname hasnt aged well mind.
Re: Danny Williams retires
Very true mate - Danny was in the Queensbury Promotions stable during his hay-day & up and till he lost the British title in 2010 - so maybe FW will be charitable?maverick23 wrote: ↑14 Sep 2020, 15:57 Eddie won’t do anything with him and I wouldn’t expect him to. Didn’t Joe Louis work as a greeter in Vegas casinos after he retired? Maybe Danny can do a similar thing at his kids school.

Ha, I’d forgotten all about that. Didn’t Danny say that Herbie would still be lying on the canvas from their spar if people hadn’t woken him up? Something like that. Funny as fvck.TheGman wrote: ↑15 Sep 2020, 08:50Haha I know but williams was still shyte back then, remember Hide going for him in the press conference for the Hide vs Vitali fight, williams shat his kecks then aswell

Re: Danny Williams retires
I've just seen on Twitter someone has created a gofundme page for Danny to raise 100K to support him and his family.
