Your favorite fighter under 115 lbs

Post by Cent0089 »

Lower weights are more popular than ever. Lightweight divisions because stars like Lomachenko, Lopez, Davis, Berchelt, Haney. Even bantamweight division is now somewhat popular because of WBSS world tournament and Naoya Inoue. But are there some really good fights to be made in smallest divisions? I remember that flyweight triple header cards which was decent, but nothing else. Maybe WBSS tournament is good idea too for these divisions ?

I mean I'm never bored when I watch Chocolatito, Estrada or that Thai guy fight. I forget his name at the moment actually.

Yes! God Yes!
Toss Kyoguchi, Kenshiro, Alvarado, Canizales, Soto in together, any of those bouts, and you are guaranteed something amazing at 108
Alternatively Mthalane, Nakatani, Acosta, Magramo, Martinez, Ascota, Kimura at 112
OOOOR Wanheng, Knockout, Saludar, Taduran, Jerusalem, G. Shigeoka at 105lbs

And that's just at the top level.

Would you like a list of 10-15 recent bouts from 105-112 to check out? Say last 3 or 4 years?
Maybe WBSS tournament is good idea too for these divisions ?
A WBSS at 108 would be perfect!

As for favourite fighter, hard call...I love watching Ginjiro Shigeoka, Kai Ishizawa, Lito Dante, Kyoguchi, Kenshiro, Hisada, Horikawa, Kimura, Alvarado, Jesse Rodriguez looks like a hell of a talent, Martinez, Mthalane, Nakatani., Yudai Shigeoka

Would probably say Ginjiro Shigeoka (105), Kenshiro (108) and Ryota Yamauchi (112), but I've been on their rides from the moment they turned pro so a bit biased!

Love myself some JC Martinez (dude come just to throw down those heavy f@cking hands) and Chocolatitio. Was so satisfying watching Roman take Yafai to school :yay:
