Both carried power and could hurt each other. Page had a better jab and movement. Dokes' handspeed was superior. Page would have to box from the outside. If he succeeded, he would outpoint Dokes, probably catch and KO him or KO him after Dokes was tired enough. In the exchanges Dokes would have more chances. I slightly favor Page.

Either Dokes or Page winning by decision in 15 rounds in a hard fought fight.

This was a fight that should have happened in the early 1980s. Page by UD, close, out-jabbing Dokes.

People overrate Dokes' power, it was decent at best. At their best, I would say Page by UD, possible late round stoppage. Greg had way better boxing ability and stronger power. Michael was quicker, but Greg was faster. And I think Greg took a better punch, though Michael may have had stronger heart and tougher. Unless Dokes went inside and roughed Greg up, this is Page fight most of the way.

I agree with a lot that; except I think Dokes had more power. Both had talent but were inconsistent. If they both fought close to their best, it would have an exciting, closer fight. However, one of them could have listless and lost a wide decision. Or both could have off and it would have been a very boring, though close fight.

Indeed, neither was truly focused most of their careers, and being it was the 80s smh, enough said.

On an average day in their EARLY primes, I'd think the SLIGHTLY better bet is Page. He was perhaps a little lazy, but typically focused, whereas Dokes was a bit over emotional and tended to want to admire his work. I'm giving the nod to the slightly more "centered" fighter. Dokes could sometimes win the psyche fight....but Page would not be paying attention to any hype whatsoever. So Dokes gets no mileage out of his intimidation ploys. Greg is just a bit too sleepy for Michael, and thus gets me to the betting parlor in his behalf. But I would bet modestly on this one.

Dokes is the faster, better boxer, Page is more durable and carries the bigger punch. Both at their best, I could see Page coming on late to take a close dec after getting consistently beaten to the punch over the first 5-6 rds.

No body outboxes Page at his best from the crew except maybe Tony Tubbs, and truthfully, he caught Greg on the wrong day. And Dokes was quicker, but I seen fights where Page was faster.
