Looking for some clarification please. After doing a fair bit of research for a script, it seems Ernie Terrell in regarded as being WBA champion 65-67 after Ali was stripped of the title. Yet on Boxrec it lists about 8 fights between these dates for Ali and states Ali as WBA champion?
Would appreciate any insight.

The WBA stripped Ali of their title on September 14th 1964 because Ali had agreed to a rematch with Liston.
Terrell became WBA champion on March 5th 1965 when he beat Machen.
Ali regained the WBA belt when he beat Terrell on February 2nd 1967.
Between those dates Ali was still universally recognized as the legitimate champion (Lineal/WBC/Ring).
