Burton can take heart in that loss, he's still a force at British level

Absolute joke of scorecards there , Bolotniks by 2 maybe 3 tops .

Re: Round-by-Round: MTK: The Golden Contract | Light-Heavyweights 1/2 Finals - 26 September 2020
96-92 Bolotniks for me, he really should've stopped Burton in that 9th, two standing 8 counts both shite, 1st count Burton was definitely hurt after getting rocked by that right hand but there's a difference between the ropes keeping you up and using them to avoid attacks, as for the 2nd count, the ref should've stopped it rather than give a count, Burton recovered well enough TBF
Burton was poor tonight, too negative, vast majority of his work was blocked and hit gloves and arms, he doesn't step in with his shots and threw from out of range, Bolotniks had all the scoring punches, he was chasing all night but Burton wasn't doing anything effective on the back foot, Bolotniks always looked dangerous with the haymakers, deserved win

98-90, 100-90, 98-90. Presumably he lost round nine 10-7. Don't think the ropes held him up as the commentator said but he may have been stopped if the ref hadn't intervened.

One card down.. I think Taylor’s fight will be same time as WBSS.
Edwards should be fighting now.. but they might add a few floaters.
In Germany, it’s Landon’s fight.
Round 6 of 10.

Burton needed to get him on the back foot, agree it was odd to try and steal a decision on away groundFloyd the snake wrote: ↑26 Sep 2020, 16:36 Shocking tactics from be Gallagher again how were they going to get the decision in Latvia like that .

Wouldn’t have affected the result but are standing 8 counts allowed under WBO rules?

Bolotniks won handily, not sure why people think it was close. Burton didn't have an off night, he's simply not as good as a lot thought and Bolotniks was underestimated yet again

A force? a bit much don't ya think? His biggest fight before this was a British title fight where he got KO'd by Buglioni. after ajisafe his best win is probably area level miles shinkwin. his record in british title fights is 1-1 (the '1' was for winning the vacant title)Old bones Ian wrote: ↑26 Sep 2020, 16:11 Burton can take heart in that loss, he's still a force at British level
he's rangy with some awkward skills, but he lacks strength and seems nervous in the ring. purely british level and solid there but not especially strong

Agree he's british level, don't think he's a force there at all though

Burton has only fought two credible opponents in his career and lost both.
Re: Round-by-Round: MTK: The Golden Contract | Light-Heavyweights 1/2 Finals - 26 September 2020
Can't work Burton out. Get gets knocked out by Buglioni then proceeds to fight only journey men and saying he can't get big fights despite turning down 2 offers to fight Buatsi which based on what he know would be an obvious mismatch. All this while saying he would knock Yarde out. Then he has the chance to prove himself and he gets exposed again.
Re: Round-by-Round: MTK: The Golden Contract | Light-Heavyweights 1/2 Finals - 26 September 2020
Unimpressed with Burton. Needed a better work rate to win, but maybe he's just not good enough.
He wouldn't live with Yarde or Bhuatsi.
A fight against Willy Hutchinson could give him a make or break opportunity.

It’s amazing that Fury can knock Wilder down with a slap/half closed fist when few of Wilder’s other 40 opponents have been able to hurt him.
Just think how much power he’d have with a closed fist.

Some Gypsys aren’t good people. I’ve had run ins with some in the past at a pub I worked at whilst I was at University. All races and ethnicities have bad people - doesn’t mean they’re all the same and should have slurs thrown against them.
I’ll say it again - casual racism.
