Pretty much how I saw it. Feinting and flicking jabs that weren't really ever intended to land while using minimal effort while Bellew is boxing out of his skin knowing that he's got to be switched on every second. Bellew gets a bit of false confidence with the crowd support and his perceived success but knackers himself in the process, Usyk switches up into another gear that Tony just doesn't have and to top it off is knackered. That was never meant to be a points win. That was a gameplan to KO Bellew executed perfectly.

Breidis was unlucky not to have the got the decision against Usyk , so based on that alone surely he would have beat Bellew
Re: Bellew: "'Hard man' Briedis was on my radar"
I'm sure I've heard Bellew state that he's earned double digit millions. Even after expenses and taxation that is simply remarkable for a man of his ability and style. Loved watching him as a fat amateur, he was exciting, powerful and game. Found him boring as a professional but am really pleased for him as a man that he's achieved what he has. Got a good head on his shoulders.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑25 Sep 2020, 09:27 This what Bellew said before the Haye rematch:
Bellew said at the time: “For me it was never about the money. It is about sending a message.
“When I beat this clown I’m the most valuable heavyweight in the world outside the champions. I’ll also be the best cruiserweight this country has ever produced.”
This was Bellew’s first seven-figure salary fight.
This is what Haye replied:
Speaking about Bellew, Haye said: “Before the first fight, he wanted to secure his family financially.
“I know what he got paid for that first fight and, mission completed, he’s financially secure for the rest of his life. He’s a multimillionaire.”

Leave him alone. Please just leave the winner of a vacant alphabet belt in boxings shallowest division ALONE.
LEAVE THE BOXER ALONE

Bellew can't pick his place for me. I used to hate this guy because he seemed like a douchebag. Then he kicked David Haye's ass twice who's an even bigger douchebag so I liked him. Then he started talking about working with the WBC and adding a Super Cruiserweight division, and now I absolutely hate him.

Lost to cleverly in his hometown and cried about it.
Left to join hearn and got skelpted by stevenson.
Carefully guided to beat a poor champion.
Stepped up to beat a man who was at least 6 or 7 years past his prime who did more talking rubbish than him.
Knocked silly by usyk with home advantage.
Retired and now talks rubbish for a living to anyone who would bother to listen.
Re: Bellew: "'Hard man' Briedis was on my radar"
Haye and Bellew were the perfect dance partners. Two con men together in harmony. Haye did at least have some good wins. Tony picked up all vacant titles.

Re: Bellew: "'Hard man' Briedis was on my radar"
He only won 1 world title. The Euro was vacant too wasn’t it? Against Masterman or whatever he’s called.
Haye made £500k against Di Mori and £1m against Grejgaz..
I wouldn’t even say Haye is a conman. He obviously knew how to sell himself. Self promote. When he did his comeback, how was he conning the public? It wasn’t PPV, it was on Dave. And anyone who bought tickets probably bought tickets to watch David Haye’s comeback.
Re: Bellew: "'Hard man' Briedis was on my radar"
Agreed. Gets a lot of unjust stick Haye in my opinion.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑25 Sep 2020, 15:09He only won 1 world title. The Euro was vacant too wasn’t it? Against Masterman or whatever he’s called.

The wins over Masternak and Makabu were both good, would've lost to Breidis though
Re: Bellew: "'Hard man' Briedis was on my radar"
He would've lost to Briedis, which is why he gave him a wide berth. Contrary to his piece of historical revionism that claims he was on the radar. Drozd would've given him a tonking as well if he wasn't made of polystyrene.

Bellew asked for them fights and pushed them. Plus Bellew was calling him a con prior to their fights, in rgards to his comeback.. Haye wanted Joshua.Shhhh wrote: ↑26 Sep 2020, 11:47The con factor is that he got 2 PPV fights when he knew his body was goneAsh93 wrote: ↑25 Sep 2020, 15:30Agreed. I am certain Bellew believes it; the longer he is retired the better he remembers himself being .Counter-puncher wrote: ↑25 Sep 2020, 06:24 do we reckon Bellew believes that 'gave Usyk his toughest fight' line, in his heart of hearts?
At the time of their fight Bellew and Haye really were the perfect dance partners as previously said. Whilst Haye was superb at cruiser, he then turned into a bit of a prat up at heavyweight.
Bellew was a lot more consistent .. he was always a prat.
Bellew has had the most amazing good luck to be where he is now off the back of such little talent; I would argue his mouth has provided himself with more than his boxing ability was ever able to. So for that he deserves respect .. begrudgingly!
Re: Bellew: "'Hard man' Briedis was on my radar"
Bellew won the vacant WBC. WBC rules state that of you won a vacant belt you must immediately defend against the mandatory. Unfortunately for Bellew his mandatory was Bredis who would have destroyed him. Bellew knew this, so did his team......they basically got Hearn to ask Mauricio Sulaimán to break his own rules so bellew could dodge Bredis and fight BJ Flores instead. Naturally the 'straight laced' Sulaiman agreed. Bellew ducked Bredis......there can be no disputing that.
Re: Bellew: "'Hard man' Briedis was on my radar"
Briedis would KTFO bellend in about the same way Usyk did.

He was really OTT before the first Haye fight. Acting all scared in the last presser and saying he had to send his wife and kids to Dubai for the fight weekend because he was scared for them bla bla.
Re: Bellew: "'Hard man' Briedis was on my radar"
That Bellew believes it? Absolutely.Counter-puncher wrote: ↑25 Sep 2020, 06:24 do we reckon Bellew believes that 'gave Usyk his toughest fight' line, in his heart of hearts?
I'd happily accept that Bellew believes that it was him who beat George Foreman in Zaire in 1974.

Who can forget Flores being parachuted in to the top 15 for no apparent reason. He hadn't even fought for ages.rio wrote: ↑27 Sep 2020, 15:02 Bellew won the vacant WBC. They paid Briedis step aside money, he fought Valily on the undercard of this.
