Round-by-Round: Josh Taylor vs. Apinun Khongsong - 26 September 2020
Re: Round-by-Round: Josh Taylor vs. Apinun Khongsong - 26 September 2020
We've seen worse challenge one our champions. Samuel Kebede or Said Lawal were worse and showed zero punch resistance or appetite for competing in world class....and Taylor's better than both Harrison and Hamed IMO.

He needed to pull something special out after falling behind, and that's what he did.
Who'd have thought Ben Davidson would turn a pure boxer/fighter into a power puncher

I couldn't find enough on Khongsong prior to the fight to make my mind up either way. So there was always the unexpected, and he looked the part.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑27 Sep 2020, 23:57 Agree that he earned it, but nah, it was always obvious khongsong was a patsy
You will have to admit, that we sometimes get unknown guys out of Thailand or the Philippines who turn out to be very decent, and very tough when they hit our mainstream screens for the first time. Think about how much we knew leading up to Chocolito's first

It’s crazy really, he could have all 4 major belts in just his 18th fight, unheard of over hear that is. He’s the best we have by a country mile IMO.KiwiRider wrote: ↑27 Sep 2020, 16:10100%
So true Roy.
From Postol onwards, he probably has one of the toughest resumes in the UK.
That's on paper, and in the ring.
Khongsong 'looked' a pretty intimidating physical opponent, leading up to, and at the weigh-in , so there was a possibility for yet another hard night for Josh.
And Josh showed what a world class champion is made of- again![]()
