At 147 Duran would destroy Chavez in 5-7 rounds.

This. The Duran of Palomino or Sugar Ray I (and maybe 2) fights wipes out Chavez. WW was too big for Chavez

He beats him anywhere else too. No advantage for Julio.

It's hard to imagine Chavez getting dropped for the count, but I can see him refusing to come out of his corner somewhere along the way after losing every round, and just realizing he don't want no more of this.

At lightweight and super lightweight, it would be a competitive fight, but at welterweight, the Hands of Stone would be too much for Chavez Sr. and stop him in 8 rounds.
