Next realistic match for Jermall Charlo?
Eubank Jr would be a decent match but I kind of rule out this match b/c is difficult to make a deal with the Eubanks. So what realistic options are at 160 lbs for Jermall? Munguia, Liam Williams, Maciej Sulecki or Tuerano Johnson?
Imo If it's not Eubank Jr at 160 lbs I'd like to see Mall fighting Benavidez or Plant @ 168 lbs.

This is a really difficult question to answer, because if you look at the top-fifteen contenders listed by the WBC’s 160lbs ratings, it doesn’t contain any PBC fighters with winning records.
You might be right about the names you’ve listed, but it’s not easy to get Al Haymon’s guys to engage in cross-promotional cross-network bouts (if we consider recent quarrels with DiBella and De La Hoya, coupled with Warren’s partnership with Top Rank/ESPN).

Yup. It's very difficult. I could see Mall moving up at 168 and have one or two accommodation fights vs some stable guys like Truax, Angulo, Dirrell or J'Leon Love, then go for Benavidez or Plant.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑04 Oct 2020, 03:49 This is a really difficult question to answer, because if you look at the top-fifteen contenders listed by the WBC’s 160lbs ratings, it doesn’t contain any PBC fighters with winning records.

If they cannot arrange Canelo megafight, Eubank is logical option

Eubank Jr. commands unusually big purses. His paydays reported by the British media for the Groves and DeGale bouts were absolutely massive.apollo creed wrote: ↑04 Oct 2020, 04:21Yup but Eubanks want that "The first dollar should always drop to the fighter" , so it may be very difficult to have a done deal with them.

Eubank might be it but charlo wins that handily.
GGG
Jacobs
Canelo
Callum Smith
Those are the big dogs and he needs one of them
Andrade was intentionally left out as he is irrelevant by his own doing

GGG would be a good matchup but after the way Charlo handled Sergey more easily than Golovkin I doubt if GGG wants any part of Mall.Jeff_lacy_ko wrote: ↑04 Oct 2020, 09:35 Eubank might be it but charlo wins that handily.

he hasn't been fighting any of the dazn guys, not ggg, andrade, canelo, saunders, jacobs , vargas or the other guys listed there like smith etc, nothing to do with the sergey fight, he's already been at mw for a while now before sergey and none of those fights happened
he could do with some bigger fights, sergey was a nice win but let's face it not exactly that big, serg is now a 13-3 dude whose been competitive but always lost when he stepped to the a level.
pbc has more interesting guys at 168---at least benavidez and plant, and eubank can fight there too. mall should consider moving up if Sergey is as good as it gets for him at 160. let's be honest fights lke taureano johnson and sulecki arne't stirring much interest, his talent deserves more.

Eubank seems like a very reasonable matchup and should be easy to make as they are both PBC. But I fear they would put it on PPV.

Bottom line is the only realistic good fights that Mall could get are on PBC (Eubank Jr, Benavidez and Plant). And I hope these fights are gonna happen asap.

Re: Next realistic match for Jermall Charlo?
Chris Eubank Jr. told the BBC that he plans to make his ring return during December, with a view to facing Jermall Charlo in the new year.
There’s no word of who Eubank Jr. will be facing, though Ryota Murata has been mentioned, or an actual confirmed date for his next outing, but I assume it’ll either be on the 5th or 12th December. Chris did say that his handlers were in talks with potential opponents.
A fight between Jermall Charlo and Chris Eubank Jr. has been in the works for a long time and it seems inevitable we'll see them sharing the same ring in the near future.
