Press Release
MTK Global confirmed that Spencer Fearon has been hired as a full-time analyst for the MTK Fight Night events. Fearon provided his analysis during last month’s Akeem Ennis Brown vs. Philip Bowes bill. He passed the test with flying colors, leading to him becoming a permanent addition to the broadcast team. Alongside commentators Alex Steedman and Barry Jones, Fearon will offer his thoughts and scorecard during upcoming MTK Fight Night cards live on ESPN+ and IFL TV, and he’s delighted with the new role.
Fearon said: “On a scale of 1-10 I’m an 11!! To be given the opportunity to join ESPN+ as a full time analyst is a mammoth task, but one I would truly relish in, so I’m grateful to my family that is MTK Global. I’m taken a back by the millions of people that have ESPN+. I found the experience last month to be one that brought me immense elation. To be on the ESPN platform sharing and giving insight to the great performances being showcased was amazing. I’m no stranger to the microphone, but on this stage I’m planning to bring a more flavorsome and dynamic fight analysis that the fans can readily partake in. I’m also looking to educate people with the historical comparisons that can be made with fighters of this generation and fighters of the past.”
MTK Global Chief Strategy Officer Paul Gibson added: “It’s fantastic to have Spencer on board as a regular contributor to our MTK Fight Night events. He’s not only a great historian but a very good boxing analyst. He knows how to read a fight and how to break a fight down. He’s been a boxing insider for a long time and knows these fighters and their back stories, so he will bring a lot to the broadcast.”
Fearon’s first # MTK Fight Night event as a full-time analyst will be on October 18th, as Michael McKinson takes on Martin Harkin, Jay Harris defends his Commonwealth flyweight title against Marcel Braithwaite, Jordan Reynolds makes his professional debut, plus much more.
