Dave Allen Vs Christian Hammer
Dave Allen Vs Christian Hammer
'Dave Allen collides with Christian Hammer as more heavyweight action is added to the Oleksandr Usyk-Derek Chisora bill on October 31, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
'White Rhino' has been sparring with Ukrainian pound-for-pound star Usyk and hopes victory over the respected Hammer will propel him into another big-name bout.
But Hammer has already shown his threat on British soil by stopping David Price three years ago, and Allen is prepared for a hard-fought encounter.'

Well I wasn't expecting this one! Who've you got winning this?

Re: Dave Allen Vs Christian Hammer
I'll repost this in this thread:
Intriguing fight as neither look motivated whenever they face someone better than them. Hammer should be able to outbox and frustrate Allen if he is willing to set the pace but Allen will have a chance at catching him early I guess.
On the other hand we could get an incrediblely boring fight where neither of them try to win.

somewhat interesting as everyones logic for picking dave allen to win fights seems to be 'other guy will punch himself out then get stopped' . hammer is durable and can go rounds though

Hammer was in trouble against Price, but it was price who gassed in that one.
Re: Dave Allen Vs Christian Hammer
Ladbrokes and SkyBet still not paid out front his February fight. Claiming the fight is still under investigation. In your own time lads..
Re: Dave Allen Vs Christian Hammer
Hammer will be too much for Dave.
Re: Dave Allen Vs Christian Hammer
Hammer comfortably. Several levels above Dave Allen

Re: Dave Allen Vs Christian Hammer
Allen looks in good nick, if he's focused and Hammer is behind a step then this could be competitive, solid fight
Re: Dave Allen Vs Christian Hammer
Darch.
Re: Dave Allen Vs Christian Hammer
Hammer is levels above Allen, Hammer for me is a "decent" fight for the Usyk vs Chisora loser.

Re: Dave Allen Vs Christian Hammer
bookies seem to have this crazy close.. like closer than 60-40... seems weird seeing as my opinion as well as every opinion iv read is, Allen is pretty fucked here.
Is he still going to sparr povetkin? surely not, thats too tough a sparing strait after usyk and in the weeks leading into this fight.

Re: Dave Allen Vs Christian Hammer
allen got massively overrated after beating browne, still a bit of residual there even after the price pasting
i guess its probably just as much ppl not being too confident in hammer, but he's a pretty reliable operator....loses every round to top tier opposition but effective vs fringe contenders and below. tough guy as well, never down vs ortiz or pov and came back well vs price. knows how to spoil and survive when outgunned and how to win when not

Re: Dave Allen Vs Christian Hammer
If Hammer is in shape he should romp home in this one.
Allen has got to show some courage and thirst for victory, not continue to prove he's able to soak up some punishment and get lucky with a big right hand swipe.

Hammer by a country mile.
Re: Dave Allen Vs Christian Hammer
Is this a troll account? EDIT: just looked at it. Geezer was obviously taking the piss, but you never know what some idiots will post... This is why I. don't bother with twitter. Everyone has an opinion on something they know nothing about. I find it the most painful of all the social medias, just in front of Facebook which again is a load of noise and moronic opinions.
Re: Dave Allen Vs Christian Hammer
I predict a dull 12 round UD for Hammer.
Both men have decent chins and neither is a massive banger.
However, Hammer is a solid boxer and should know far too much for Allen.
Allen can be a bit of a handful, but only at a certain level, Hammer is above that level.

That was an odd one to say the least.TheGoods wrote: ↑09 Oct 2020, 16:30Darch.
Allen did f*ck all for several rounds and then suddenly cleaned Darch's clock out of the blue, if I remember correctly.
Given Allen history with gambling, it is understandable that people are a bit dubious.
Re: Dave Allen Vs Christian Hammer
Allen gets carried out on a stretcher against Price, comes back with a win that was investigated for match fixing and jumps straight back on a PPV card. Wish other boxers would get the opportunities this man has had.
