Any idea what time the main/co-main event will start in the UK, approximately? Expect it to be fairly late in Vegas, probably going to set an alarm. Barboza Jr and Saucedo could be quite an interesting fight too. Leaning towards Barboza Jr UD and Loma late TKO, can't wait regardless. Great main event.

To be safe, set your alarm around 3am.. 3:30am latest.. I reckon the main event will be around half 4..

Buzzing for this think I'll even get up to watch it live, not done that since Fury/Wilder rematch, hoping my man Lomachenko does the bizz, i think he does, older man and naturally smaller but a superior boxer to anyone who's laced on gloves ever IMO, Lopez is clearly a dangerous young fighter and annihilated Commey but I think back to the fight before when he wasnt great, I think Loma takes him to school, similar to the Russell Jr fight, maybe more convincing

A real superfight this one.

And a 50/50 despite the polling.

If I wasn’t rooting for the little guy here, Loma, I’d put a bet on Lopez at those odds.
Although I really like both fighters ..

There’s a good chance the bigger man could land some big crunching shots early, that could swing it his way: Loma could be rusty...and Lopez is massively confident ..

Huge kudos to these two champs, so many talk the talk but avoid the real challenges ( AJ and Eddie would run a mile from a genuine challenge like this )

The situation is confusing with the WBC title.

Lomachenko won that when he beat Luke Campbell, but it seems Deven Hainey then won it, and now Campbell is boxing Garcia for it :-? WTF

Shame on the WBC for depriving the fans of an undisputed world champion :shame:

Whatever the outcome of the Garcia v Campbell fight, they can't possibly claim to be a world champion.

Lomachenko-Lopez: Judges, Referee Revealed

Referee: Russell Mora (Nevada)

Judge: Tim Cheatham (Nevada)
Judge: Julie Lederman (New York)
Judge: Steve Weisfeld (New Jersey)
---------------------------------
The Nevada State Athletic Commission has assigned an experienced, familiar panel of judges to the Vasiliy Lomachenko-Teofimo Lopez fight Saturday night.

Boxing Scene was informed Wednesday that Nevada’s Tim Cheatham, New York’s Julie Lederman and New Jersey’s Steve Weisfeld will judge their 12-round lightweight title unification fight at MGM Grand Conference Center. The NSAC also has assigned veteran Nevada referee Russell Mora to the Lomachenko-Lopez fight.

Weisfeld scored Lomachenko a 117-109 winner over Jose Pedraza in the most recent Lomachenko fight he worked.

Ukraine’s Lomachenko (14-1, 10 KOs) won that 12-round bout by unanimous decision in December 2018 at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater in New York. Judge Joseph Pasquale scored Lomachenko-Pedraza the same as Weisfeld, whereas judge Tom Schreck scored that bout 119-107 for Lomachenko.

Lederman and Weisfeld worked the Lomachenko-Jorge Linares fight together as well.

Lederman had that highly competitive contest even, 85-85, entering the 10th round, when Lomachenko’s perfectly placed body shot kept Linares down for the count. Weisfeld had Lomachenko ahead, 86-84, through nine rounds in their May 2018 battle at Madison Square Garden.

Judge Robin Taylor had Linares in front, 86-84, after the ninth round against Lomachenko.

In Lomachenko’s previous appearance, Weisfeld had Lomachenko in front, 60-53, against Guillermo Rigondeaux through six rounds. Rigondeaux declined to answer the bell for the seventh round in December 2017 at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater.

Lederman and Weisfeld worked Lopez’s last fight, too. They each scored the first round for Lopez (15-0, 12 KOs), but Brooklyn’s Lopez knocked out Ghana’s Richard Commey in the second round to win the IBF lightweight title December 14 at Madison Square Garden.

Neither Lederman nor Weisfeld previously judged any of Lopez’s fights.

Cheatham hasn’t judged any of Lomachenko’s first 15 professional fights. He judged Lopez’s pro debut, but Lopez knocked out Mexico’s Ishwar Siqueiros in the second round of that November 2016 bout at UNLV’s Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Mora was the referee for Lomachenko’s pro debut – a fourth-round knockout of Jose Luiz Ramirez in October 2013 at Thomas & Mack Center. Mora hasn’t officiated any of Lopez’s 15 pro bouts.

Anthony Crolla breaks down Lomachenko-Lopez

“The best chance for Lopez to win is for him to land a big shot because he’s a world-class puncher,” Crolla told The Ring. “I just think that it’ll be a combination puncher that gets to Loma, whereas Lopez is always looking for the big punch and the Hollywood finish. But listen, if one of those big punches land, serious questions will be asked.

“He can’t let Lomachenko dictate the pace all the time. Lopez has got to land early and get some respect, and interestingly enough I think Lomachenko is going to come out very aggressive in this fight. There’s been a lot of talk from Lopez and I think Loma feels disrespected by him. So if Lomachenko is aggressive and holds his feet a bit more, then maybe that gives Lopez a chance to land. It’s also important for Lopez to make his size count.”

“A round or so in, I think Lopez is going to say to himself, ‘Oh, it’s very different being in here with him,’”
offered Crolla. “I think that’s why Lomachenko is likely to start fast and make him feel it early.

“I really respect the fact that Lopez has taken this fight now because he could have welcomed a [title] defense and bided his time a little. I respect that he’s stepped up, but if you’re advising him you’re probably saying there’s room to improve. He had a good amateur career, but he’s only had 15 fights. Don’t get me wrong, I think Lopez is for real, and when he moves to 140 pounds I can see him winning a world title there, too. He’s chasing greatness here.”

However, despite recognizing Lopez’s star quality, Crolla believes that he’s in over his head, and the bad blood, which has been present throughout the buildup, will bring out the best in his former opponent.

“I think we might see Lomachenko do a bit of the matador stuff that he did against Jason Sosa,” said Crolla. “He’s going to be doing a lot of talking throughout the fight and go out of his way to punish him. He’s spiteful, and I think we’re going to see a Lomachenko masterclass on Saturday.

“Lomachenko will make him miss, and I don’t think Lopez will be hitting arms or gloves, I think he’s be falling short. Any fighter knows how frustrating that is and it will make Lopez take more chances. When that happens I think we’re going to see Lomachenko hit his body and hit it hard. I see Lopez getting stopped on his feet in nine or 10 rounds.”

Lomachenko-Lopez + undercard will be broadcast live on ESPN and ESPN+ in the U.S. and via pay-per-view at www.fite.tv in the U.K.

i think loma will stop teo late rds. i think teo best chance is early mid. teo is clearly a big hitter but i think trying to put extreme early pressurse on loma aint a great idea for teo as loma moves to well and can box of the back foot , if i was teo i would try to hold the centre of the ring and see if he can land a big shot from there , he is not going to walk loma down not big enough to bully him doesnt have the jab to box him, hope loma comes on to you and dont miss but dont waste engergy chasing him him around you aint going to out point him

What a fight, starting to get excited for this one.

Really tough pick too... in truth, I've not been overly impressed by Lomachenko at this weight; when he was making guys like Walters and Rigo quit on their stools i was in awe. But he got dropped by Linares, laboured a bit vs Luke Campbell...

On form, I'd pick Lopez, but, my feeling is that superior opposition will bring out a superior Lomachenko. I think he'll find another level to get it done vs Lopez, because that's what ATG fighters do.

Lopez early is not out the question, but I'll hang my hat on a Loma late stoppage.

i get where youre coming from rick , i watched the campbell fight this afternoon thanks furlough, i think it was better win than i first thought, campbell was very good in that fight long and tall good jab big heart in front of big home crowd , better win than i first thought and gave loma credit for to be honest, campbell got some good body shots in possible hurt loma in the 7th, but loma won clear put luke down nearly stopped him, i think every next fight is youre most dangerous and teo is deffo a danger and is very live oppo , looking forward to it aswell

Can’t shake the slightly uneasy feeling that Loma is fighting in the wrong weight division, when it comes to the real crunch. Much like that other brilliant phenom Roman Gonzalez.

Of course he’s been cleaning up at 135 but not against any really big punchers yet..not even close.

It’s going to be edge of your seat stuff

Loma doesn’t get enough credit for daring to be great and moving to a higher weight that doesn’t suit him. The size difference with Campbell man!! If he wins he’s ATG for me, either way he’s HOF.

Have to go back a long way tho' don't you. This fight feels a lot like Floyd vs Canelo, maybe a little Calzahge vs Lacy with the volume vs power angle.
I actually bet Teo @ almost 4/1 because he's a huge puncher and Loma is really a SFW, but it's not 50/50.
