Will Lomachenko be in a tough fight vs Lopez?

Post by apollo creed »

Maybe is just the hype but I have the feeling that this match will be very competitive for Lomachenko. If this fight will be competitive/close I think people will say that Loma got old or he wasn't that good. We will see. It's a very good match. :box:

I don't think so. I predict Lopez to take 2-3 rounds, 4 max. So, there will be some competition, but I don't anticipate exactly a tough challenge for Lomachenko.

I think loma will beat him pretty comfortably, with a quite possibly a late stoppage. im not particularly confident in that as lopez can crack, but he has never been in with a slick southpaw, and he is about to go in with one of the slickest ever. I Think that will be rough on him.

Everybody talks about Teofimo power and Loma skill. Teo is a very skilled boxer, but people tend to forget that Loma can bang. That fight is pretty unpredictable. Btw i am surprised how many haters Lomachenko have

This is a very good match. The winner of this fight becomes the 135 lbs king. Gervonta and Haney should step up in competition.

Both can punch. It's gonna be an action fight between two skilled fighters. :box:

Definitely Loma’s toughest challenge. Had there been an appropriate live audience then I’d favor Loma bc Lopez would be fighting in a different world. But as a glorified sparring session given the times, I think that neutralizes any advantages Loma could benefit from.

I absolutely love this fight. The skills on display tonight, collectively, will be unlike anything boxing fans have seen in a long time. No idea who wins but it’s an absolute treat of a fight we all needed.

Lomachenko has great footwork but hes aggressive so he will get hit

Inactivity tends to hurt the older fighter. Lomachenko isnt old age wise but hes fought a ton of amateur fights and 130 pro rounds which are almost all championship fight rounds

I think its close. Lopez is an upset

Loma fought very reluctant. He probably felt Lopez's power, size and strength. I would like to see a rematch if it will be one.

I’ll cop that as me being wrong, thinking loma would win comfortably. But I will say I thought when loma fought I thought he was winning, just took the first 5 rounds off...

The 119 card was disgusting, Lopez won but fornicate that guy should be investeegated because Lopez lost a few rounds clearly.

I'm very impressed with Lopez. He made history in boxing as the first 135 lbs undisputed champion at only 23 y/o! :TU:

I hope there is a rematch clause and Loma will exercise it.

No clauses usually in unifications but I can't imagine why Lopez wouldn't go again with a better slice. Nothing else would make him more and he'd have to be even more confident.
