If Loma can't get Mikey Garcia fight why does he campaign at Lightweight
If Lomachenko can't get fight with Mikey Garcia, I don't see why he continues to fight at 135 which is not his best weight, instead dropping to 130 pound division..any thoughts on this..

Cause thats where the money was, so i guess your saying more money to be made at 135 pound than 130 ok..

I don't see any big money fights at 130 for him. Especially with Gervonta Davis set to move up.victor-romeo wrote: ↑17 Oct 2020, 16:14 Cause thats where the money was, so i guess your saying more money to be made at 135 pound than 130 ok..

Maybe he feels confident at lw and just doesnt want to be bothered with the cut to 130, at 135 he's not having to take off much

That's was Garcia's decision to move up.

He might move to 130 now. There seemed to be a power discrepancy, and Lopez also ate his shots while Loma was rocked in the last round.
Lopez kept away with his reach too.
Perhaps a move down where Loma's power hurts guys more, they don't hit as hard, and the reach and height are less will help.

I'd think he'd look for a rematch. He lost because he got outboxed the first half. I think he was pretty shocked he wasn't faster. Tough predicament because teo is a great counter puncher but loma could make adjustments.6 Pack wrote: ↑18 Oct 2020, 01:51 He might move to 130 now. Loma v Shakur at super FW is the one.
Re: If Loma can't get Mikey Garcia fight why does he campaign at Lightweight
After this loss with no rematch clause Loma can move down with a big probability. And why not? He can make that weight and the LW run was the most hard for him, the size mattered in any case.

Can't see why he would need a rematch clause for a rematch.
Re: If Loma can't get Mikey Garcia fight why does he campaign at Lightweight
They gave the stats during the fight and mentioned Loma gets hit much more often at lightweight than he did at junior lightweight.
I agree this may have been the fight to convince him. We will see.
