Turned it off round 10ish as I knew what was coming in and it winds me up. Will Vazquez get a rematch? Highly doubt it. It’ll be forgotten about by Wednesday. Ritson needs a proper team behind him. Like in the Patera fight they just can’t see how the fights going and react to it.

Terry O'Connor's greatest hits:
117-111 Ritson over Vazquez
88-84 Ward over Essomba
117-111 Callum Smith over Ryder
118-110 Davies over Hughes
118-110 Joseph Parker over Hughie Fury
98-92 Tyson Fury over McDermott
Please feel free to add to the list.

Looks like Terry was just holding his scorecards and not his phone - doesn’t change the fact that he’s given a joke of a card there.
A good show overall.
Pleased for Kane Baker and credit to both for taking the fight.
We found out how good Ward was and he’s long way away from proper world level.
Rylan Charlton looks a good fighter who’ll be involved with some good fights. Laws was just hype and potentially more interested in his social media than deciding on how best to fight. He seemingly couldn’t decide on what style to use. Charlton reminded me a little of fellow east coast boxer Jon Thaxton - looked a really strong, tough fighter.
Qais Ashfaq doesn’t seem to have the man strength to go far in pro boxing.
Tidy boxer but not good enough to avoid shots from a decent pressure fighter and doesn’t have the power or strength to the keep them away or to tie them up. Annoyed me a little that he was arguing against the knockdowns.
Ritson was comfortably outboxed and hasn’t improved since losing to Patera 2 years ago. Also felt the corner work was poor and think he should look to move camps. Would be difficult but I also think he should see if he can move down safely to lightweight. He doesn’t have the same pop in his punches at light welterweight and is an accident waiting to happen I think if he doesn’t change things.

Hopefully Vasquez gets some decent money to fight Maurice Hooker. Ok it will be boring as hell but he does deserve a last World level fight as he deserved to get wins over OD and Ritson here.

Apparently that’s not correct - he’s got his scorecards in his hand.

Where did you find that out? If so, not sure why he's doing it during a round. Whenever I noticed him at ringside last night his arms always seemed to be folded as they are in the photo.maverick23 wrote: ↑18 Oct 2020, 04:51Apparently that’s not correct - he’s got his scorecards in his hand.

I saw some images on Michael Benson’s twitter from a second or two after the first photo - looks look it’s his scorecard.Cholo_cws wrote: ↑18 Oct 2020, 05:07Where did you find that out? Ok so if it's his scorecard , why is he looking at it? Shouldn't he be watching the fight?
It shows he's not concentrating on the one thing he should be looking at, the fight.

Probably making sure he’s got Ritson in front.Old bones Ian wrote: ↑18 Oct 2020, 05:56 Ok so if it's his scorecard , why is he looking at it? Shouldn't he be watching the fight?

Eddie is just virtue signalling here. He wants him judging. What does rob smith have to say on this ??? He acts like a straight shooter but allows this crap. Surely there are plenty of younger judges looking for a chance ??

But at the end of the day this and his Euro fight show Ritsons level.
A domestic beast at lightweight

I’ve seen interviews from Frank and Eddie where they both say judges and referees are decided by the BBBoC however didn’t George Groves insist as part of the contract for the second fight that he has to approve of the judges and referee.
If that’s the case have that in every contract and surely every fighter won’t want him as an official.

Penfold does more interviews than Jonathan Ross.

Didn't watch the fight.
Saw the result on the front page just now as an SD. Came straight here to skip to page 7 to see how controversial the decision was.
It's boringly predictable, this sport.
