Is Wilder like Hamed ?

Is Wilder like Prince Naseem Hamed ? One loss and the air is out of the balloon ?
Often extreme extroverts are also extremely compensating for insecurities.
When the illusion bursts they can't fake it anymore.

I've was never overly convinced by Wilder, but it is a bit harsh to imply that he was faking it.

He is exactly what it says on the tin, a fighter with limited boxing skills but has who has a long reach, is always in decent shape and hits very very hard.

Not sure he or anyone else ever claimed otherwise.

Man, all along watching Wilder you could see he was a one trick pony.
All he had going for him was the knockout. Once you stayed on your feet. You could outbox him and win.
Stiverne is quite a shitty boxer. He got outboxed by Wilder.

I don’t think anyone was like Hamed. Another thing about Hamed, boxing aside. He was small but you hardly noticed because of his behavior. Talking loudly, dancing/prancing around etc. Wilder is way too big to carry on like that.

i never thought he was faking it in the ring. Limited boxing skills and an atomic right hand.
However, if injuries take away the right......
I was talking about his out of ring persona (bomb squad) hopefully that isn't the real him. Yikes.

It’s far too early to write-off Wilder just yet.

And it’s far too premature to compare Wilder to Hamed.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, because there’s every chance you could eventually be proven right, but it’s still far too early to say either way.

One of the main problems is the lack of commercial viability to stage the fight that adhered to the timescale stipulated in the immediate rematch clause.

And Wilder isn’t responsible for that.

Fair enough, he can be grating when he goes off on one.

I do get the impression that the load mouth routine is an act and that behind closed doors he is a decent bloke.

At least I like to think so....

We'll see, one thing you wonder about now though as 35 year old whose already broke into big money is if the desire is the same, i actually believe he's delusional enough to think fury just got lucky twice though so his confidence may not be as hurt as you might think

What, you mean big puncher with glass ego?

To an extent, maybe, but I think the simple fact is the rematch came around too soon. Wilder's taking a long time to recover from the bicep injury because a) he's nearly 35 and b) his style has to be very wearing on the body - a big guy putting tremendously explosive power through those long skinny arms for years and years.
