who are your top 5 HW prospects as of right now
Re: Who are your top 5 HW prospects as of right now
That depends on timescale: If by “right now” you mean posing an imminent threat to the higher reaches of the division then you’d have to say ... Daniel Dubois, Joe Joyce, Filip Hrgovic, Martin Bakole Ilunga, Tony Yoka, Frank Sanchez-Faure, Arslanbek Makhmudov, and arguably Efe Ajagba.
Slightly longer term (Ajagba might be a better fit here) you’ve got Evgeny Romanov , Magomedrasul Majidov (both older than some of the first group but have not yet beaten anyone to establish themselves in the top 20-30) Zhan Kossobutskiy, Vladislav Sirenko, Guido Vianello, (the last two not looking too impressive last time out) Ivan Dychko (needs to start taking his career more seriously) and maybe Mladen Miljas.
Long term there’s Jared Anderson, Justis Huni, Peter Kadiru, maybe Sonny Conto, Roney Hines, hard to say at this stage.
I've probably forgotten someone worthy of note.

1-2 is for Dubois-Joyce. They are to determine it in their head-to-head matchup, which is always being postponed.
The 3-5 part of the top 5 is even more unclear. I'd place Hrgovic, Yoka and Ajagba there. All of them are the best prospects resume-wise, but they are being tracked quite slowly for different reasons.
Anyway, these five comptetitors gonna be in the top for sure.

Re: Who are your top 5 HW prospects as of right now
I dont consider Joyce a prospect anymore. 35, had a world level fight, that combo basically rules him out for me.
For me, DDD, hrgovic, yoka have to be there. jarred Anderson probably. Makhmudov mabey. That would be my 5. bonus of Bakhodir Jalolov but he has gone back to AMs for olympics so wont really count Him till thats done
Sirenko looks ok. Efe can become good but has lots to improve. Guido would of been on the above list if it wasnt for his last fight but will bounce by. Dychko arguably should be there but has done very little. Mahammadrasul Majidov if he can find fights, but that will be hard as dangerouse and 34 and 2-0, Viktor Vykhryst is a 6'5 ukrainian with strong Am background so should be decent. Justis Huni hasnt good amature, young, makes his pro debut in a 10 rounder for the Australian title this thursday night, thats a solid start. List goes on.

1- Dandiel Dobious ... who seem bloomed early like tyson, and his body fill out already and has strong country and fan base behind him.
2- Efe Ajagba ... who seem will bloom later and still needs to pack on some size and learn skills instead of just being just a slaguer only.
Other than these two, then there is yoka, hargovic who need to be rushed and jalalove who is promoted very badly same as dychko.
Then there is no body else that matter in next few years.

Jared Anderson can be solid if he actually can add some defense in to his game. His young age and amateur experience is a huge plus. I am also watching Vladyslav Sirenko, but he seems to be limited a bit. I also like Alexey Egorov in cruiser.

Re: Who are your top 5 HW prospects as of right now
Here are my top five heavyweight prospects:
• Tony Yoka
• Daniel Dubois
• Filip Hrgović
• Arslanbek Makhmudov
• Frank Sanchez
Other notable names:
• Agit Kabayel – seems decent enough, but he fails my personal proverbial eyeball test. He might be good enough to achieve contender status though.
• Efe Ajagba – He’s received far too much hype for my liking, despite achieving nothing whatsoever as a pro or an amateur. His last four performances have been disappointing in the context of the lowly calibre of opposition he was facing. He appears to have stopped learning and looked far less athletic during his most recent outing. And until I see some improvement going forward, I won’t consider him as being a prospect.
• Joe Joyce – He’s already 35 years of age. He is also slow and it’ll be a few years until he receives a title shot… and by that time, he might be too old. I'm not even that sure he'll get past Dubois.
• Ivan Dychko – He had a fantastic amateur career and has the skills to be progressed quickly. However, promotional issues have resulted in him being inactive. So I won’t consider him as being a prospect worthy of my attention until he starts competing regularly.
• Evgenyi Romanov and Magomedrasul Medzhidov seem to be very decent fighters, but both of them are in their mid-thirties and their careers haven’t been progressed aggressively enough for me. For sure, I’ll keep an eye on these guys, because they impress me, but I have my doubts about their ability to fulfil their potentials if they don’t start facing decent opposition soon.

No one cares how much you or other members downplay Ajagba as a prospect or what you think about him.
All Ajagba fights on YOUTUBE are far more viewed than any other prospects list in this thread.
Re: Who are your top 5 HW prospects as of right now
I think Vladyslav Sirenko has the potential to go far.

My sincere apologies sir, I was relatively ignorant about the severity of the impact YouTube views has on the action that takes place inside the ring.Boxtune wrote: ↑21 Oct 2020, 05:31Enlightened-One .. you have 10,140 posts and you just added another useless post.

I simply forgot the fact that popularity on the internet is significantly more critical than pugilistic characteristics, such as quickness, punching accuracy, punching power, defence, conditioning, discipline, guts and intelligence.

Allen babic is fun. but would/will get absolutely knocked silly if he ever steps up to world levle heavyweight. Enjoy the show, but dont expect a heavyweight title from him. Dont think he could be top levle at cruiser either. Mabey a fun light heavyweight if he ever decided to go there, but he would still get beat up by the top dogs there...

All of them can do it to each other. Makhmudov just looks more keen on his power up to the date, cause he has been facing total tomato cans, who were simply made for being KOed.thunderking500 wrote: ↑22 Oct 2020, 04:33 Tony Yoka, Dubois, Agagba, Hrgovic,
