Hi
I found the following 1913 newspaper item which does not seem to be reflected in the database:
"Boxing... Verdict for D Davies at Tonypandy. The principal contest at the new marquee, Tonypandy, on Saturday night was one of fifteen rounds between D Davies (Tylorstown) and L Probert (Merthyr). Davies showed more science than his opponent. On the other hand, Probert was more aggressive, and frequently rushed Davies to the ropes. Davies gained the verdict on points. The contest was conducted by the Evening Express referee. Young Rowlands (Porthcawl) was outpointed in a six-round contest with C Yeomens (Pontypridd)."
Source: Western Mail, 8 Sep 1913, p 9, findmypast.co.uk.
"Young Rowlands" is Billy Rowlands, my distant cousin. ID# 013764
Hope I have posted this suggestion in the right place.
Regards
Peter
