Should he be inducted into the IBHOF?

I don't think so. Very good fighter. Obviously beating Barrera twice has to count for something. However, overall he didn't quite do enough. He probably is a bit underrated though.

Not underrated. Not a HOF'er. He was losing to Barrera when Marco got DQ'd. The second fight was awfully close in Vegas. He had too many suspect losses that greats just don't lose.Ambling Alp II wrote: ↑20 Oct 2020, 22:06 I don't think so. Very good fighter. Obviously beating Barrera twice has to count for something. In the first fight, it was DQ because Barrera's own cornermen jumped into the ring because Barrera just went down for the second time and was badly hurt. That's a legitimate win for Jones. That should not be brushed off.oogiebe wrote: ↑20 Oct 2020, 22:15Not underrated. Not a HOF'er. He was losing to Barrera when Marco got DQ'd. The second fight was awfully close in Vegas. Sure I guess you could score the 2nd fight was close, but he won. He was 2-0 against Barrera. That has to count for a lot.
He did have too many bad losses that make him unworthy of the Hall of Fame.

First win against MAB is as legitimate as it gets even with the DQ. Barrera went in there thinking he was invincible only to find out he was not.

Good fighter but has very few quality wins. Glass jaw too. If he didn't have one legit win over Barrera his resume is pretty, meh.

Fell apart way too easily against Kennedy McKinney. Exciting fighter but too fragile to be great.
