Why did he skip 130lb? seems weird. but its worked well for him i guess he is in a 50-50 title elliminator.

Cuz he stayed at 126 too long. Cutting too much weight. He only stayed long cuz he was champion.

This. He stayed for too long at a prohibitive weight class. Ok, he is built skinny but looked like an octopus at 126 lbs and that helped him a lot.

Yeh. Had he lost the belt earlier or had no belt, he probably would have moved up to 130 first then 135..

There's a number of boxers who skip a division. Maybe not always because you're cutting too much weight to begin with, could be any reason.

Hopkins middle to Light Heavy, if memory serves. Think James Toney or RJJ may have done that.

Actually looking forward to this fight , Traditionaly when the Aussies step up and out of there regional competition , there usually found wanting , but with this one he really believes in himself and its gonna be interesting to see what Selby has left , Normaly i would give a big shout to Selby , but dunno this time i'm just interested in it

Putting an acca on all the fights tonight, this is the only one I’m unsure of. Should I leave it out completely or bet on the Selby robbery, even though I think Kambo will win? Just after a bit of persuasion really, I’m on the fence

Roberto Duran is mentioned that he went from lightweight to welter without stopping at light welter, but he had around 15 non-title fights in the 135-140lb range when he held the Lightweight championship, but there was little money in the light-welter championship then, hence the move to take on Ray Leonard
