Khan's wedding venue woe's......

Post by Tarquin Tarpaulin IV »

From Amirs page on FACEBOOK...

A wedding hall I’m building in bolton since 2014. Till today it’s cost me £11.4 million and still not ready! I have no Paper work where the money has been spent. No contracts for the building eg glass, roof, etc
The project manager Ash (Ash&Sons) told my father who started the project, it was going to cost £3.2m.
The QS Phil Brassell ignores my calls, he took all his payments and still hasn’t given me any contracts which he promised!
The architect (Jahangir Arji) is paid over £300k, he designed the building beautifully but now has stopped answering my calls as he wants more money to continue but never visits the project.
I just have a building sat on Deane road, Bolton. It’s 60.000 sq ft with 24/7 security which I’m still paying for.
I really want to finish it off as I know its a beautiful building, creating 100’s of jobs for the community.
I need legal help how to get to the bottom of this, it’s one of the biggest problems I’ve ever had in my life.

Good idea to post how easy you get ripped off on Facebook. I'm sure that will help him attract the right kind of person to prevent this happening in the future.

Lot of people are way dumber than Amir that they don't see this huge 'loss' for what it is...

It’s sad. Goes to show how important it is to surround yourself with good, knowledgeable people with proven track records.

How the hell do you go £8m over budget, have no records against it (legally they should have invoices etc. to support) and only flag it now?!

Khan being a dumbass isn't really news is it?

Why the hell would you sink that much money into something like this? How could you ever make it back?

Surprising jusr how often this happens in that town and others around here. Brownfield land comes up cheap, elaborate plans go in (only costs a couple of grand) and get passed by respected councillors in the community, huge losses that are hard to pin down are racked up (money goes off all over the shop, Pakistan, UAE, etc), HMRC loses out on CT and Income Tax revenue it would have reveived had these unfortunate souls invested more wisely...

And how well are those ventures doing? Don’t sound like a smart business man does he? It’s always sad to see sportsman getting fleeced though, happens all to often.

Another thing is wedding venues are finished for a very long time, you can only have 15 people at a wedding, Asian weddings have hundreds and hundreds.

If you're not 100% sure what you're investing in, and you're just taking some assholes word for it that you're gonna make money. The asshole is you.

It's not just that though, is it. He has named one alleged chancer and others may be known now too, especially in the Bolton area. Anyway, what about these people, shouldn't they have records, invoices etc. of the work they did.

He did something similar, saying after the Canelo loss, he lostso many friends, people he trusted.. They were just hanging with him for his money..

Then said he was around better people etc. Wanted to get the wedding hall completed..

4 years later, he's still in that same place.

BTW, it;s not just a wedding hall, he's looking to have some shops on the ground floor. A Hookah bar, FMK Cosmetics, My Lahore restaurant and maybe one or 2 more.

Khan‘s a philanthropist trying to put a few quid into Bolton. He‘s involved in other projects too. If people have been fleecing him it’s just contemptible. Never mind how switched on he may or may not be. His heart‘s in the right place.

Might have misunderstood you but are you implying he may be in on it to get his cash out ??? Or the builders are stealing his cash and sending it off ?

Wealthy boxer gets ripped off in business. An old story but it never stops being a sad one to hear. I hope he is able to get some redress, but the first rule of litigation is finding something to enforce against, and by the sounds of it the money he's spent hasn't left much of a trail.
