Fighter of the year so far?

Post by Perkin Warbeck »

Is it too early to start having this discussion?

I think it should be Teofimo Lopez. I don't think anyone will surpass him by the end of 2020.

Seconded. Dude gave us some inspiration in real dark times.

Legit nominees: Roman Gonzalez, Teofimo Lopez, and Tyson Fury.

Lopez and Fury are the biggest candidates. But Fury did something he had already done. Lopez was much less expected to win. Lopez is the pick and I don't now, what's possible to do this year to surpass him.

Lopez or Gonzalez so far. Both won big fights a lot of people thought they’d lose (including me). Fury KO’d a fighter everybody thought he beat the first time. Nice win, but boxing is more than heavyweights

So far it has to be Teo for me. but, he will only fight once..

People that could be in the conversation with a good win end of year (and end of year fight schedualed.)
-Fury, If he knocks rivas, or kabayal or realy sparks takem.
-Povetkin, If he KOs whyte again.
-Danny Garcia, If he beats spence.
-Kell brook if he beats craw
-Ryan Garcia if he schools or sparks luke campble.
-Jason maloney if he gets a freak upset this weekend.

Only other long shot i can think of my head is Mikey Garcia if he booked a good fight december and won. .

Weird year, because it will likely come down to Teos great win vs, someone elses 2 lesser wins.
