I think he was moaning about Chisora holding him either with a hook around the waist or locking his arm while he punches with the other arm. He did that all fight.
Bellew claimed Usyk moaned about body shots. Other pundits notice it too during other bouts.

Three occasions tonight whereby Usyk moaned to the ref about Chisora’s body shots that didn’t involve any holding.

Don’t get me wrong, Usyk is phenomenal, but flawed. Most heavyweights are the same in that respect.

Yeah he did grab his crotch once to signal a low blow, and that one was a little low, but I didn't see any others from Chisora that looked low.

I think he had some legit complaints, but low blows weren't really it.

chisora was trying to hit and hold , not allowed end of .
Watch the end of the first round again and please revise your opinion based on the nature of Usyk’s actual complaint.

End of. :salut:

A good win not an impressive performance for Usyk tonight.
I'm not sure I would call his lateral movement excessive but he was definitely on the edge of good ring movement and outright running which probably explains the two close scorecards.
How big was that ring?
On DAZN it looked huge, after tonight I don't expect any top heavies will agree to fighting Usyk in a spacious ring.

Was that me or did they ring the bell a whole minute before the end of round 8 of the Lee Selby fight ?
That was a 2 minute round :o
Surprised no one noticed it.

Can't believe rings aren't always the same size.

Imagine football teams negotiating the dimensions of the field.

So he's trying to beef himself up to around the 224 weight limit to appease the WBC.

He's kissing any possible success he could have at the weight goodbye by doing this.

He'd be better off at 210 or less

Football as in NFL or as in Soccer? Because Soccer feilds vary in size a lot.

Soccer or NFL, football fields aren't built one day then taken apart the next day like boxing rings.

It just seemed like they were moving around a lot more than heavies normally do without ending up on the ropes a lot.
That's why I asked.
After this fight the other guys know they're going to have to chase Usyk so they'll probably want a smaller ring.

Come forward rough style does not suit Usyk, ive noticed that when he was in amateurs. Chisora won at least 4 rounds in this, Usyk had his hands full.

This fight really showed that Usyk needs to work on his inside fighting He had some good moments where he didnt just sqaure up. That two uppercut to the body and left hook combo what he did is what he should have done more of. Also in the last round learned not to let himself get ragdolled that much. I am actaully a bit confused about refs sometimes seperating guys when clinching but here the ref let chisora outright grab the arm of usyk and drag him to punches hold him to punches i mean what are the rules? I just have a really hard time seeing Usyk being effective against the like of Joshua and Fury because they are even bigger and stronger and a lot taller. I can see him beat Wilder though.

Usyk uses light peppering shots, there's no oomph behind his power.
He punches like a girl.

He won at least 2 rounds, didnt see him take anything else clear, thought he was handily outboxed tbh and had little to offer after the first couple

when i see ppl give him 5 rounds i'm wondering if they scored sitting next to bellew and hearn

Hopefully Usyk fights someone from top-10 next. I expected him to win Chisora more convincingly, by the stoppage, but still he won wide, f*ck the matchroom bias and the cards.

I'd favor Usyk confidently against any current HWs, except Fury and Joshua. I still favor Usyk over Joshua, but it will be a tough bout for him. And Fury will win Usyk.

It'll be great, if Fury-Joshua is made next, while Usyk takes on Wilder or Povetkin-Whyte winner, after what Fury-Usyk can be made.

Maybe i have tendency to give rounds to pressure boxer, Usyk was running a lot. I will try to watch it again, i was pretty sleepy at fight time, maybe you are right :D
