the WBA love tank. even more outlandish than this was the situation with alberto mercado---mercado won the wba super title with a big ko win over then champ jez corrales, then the wba decided to take that from him and give it to tank for beating a totally washed up and blown up jesus cuellar who hadnt won since like 3 years before

On the telecast they showed the 2 previouse times it had been done in the last 100 years. Cant remember what they were though, but yea it has been done.

It was also done with Mayweather-Maidana II.. Was fought at 147.. Welterweight belts on the line and one of FMJ's 154 belt was at stake too. It just wasn't hyped. Maybe because all the belts belonged to Mayweather.
