Davis has one shot power at a world class level - thats rare. Hopefully we get him in big fights going forward
To be fair leo showed a world class chin. he wore that same upper cut clean a round or 2 earlier without even a bend in the knees. That last one got him when he was a bit hurt, super clean, while punching, chin not tucked, and i dont think he saw it at all... so bedtime no matter the chin.

but yea, tank world class power for sure.

Anyone else feel LSC got too confident?

He started slugging a little and going toe 2 toe. And that’s when he got caught.

That Left Uppercut was a punch waiting to land.
I think it had as much to do with Tank starting to pick up the pressure and effectively cutting off the ring. Cruz isn't the type of guy to avoid those types of confrontations. It was really a fire fight from the starting round it just took Tank a bit longer to adjust to the pace of the fight.

Did anyone else notice Al Bernstein's commentary right before the KO?

“If Davis thought Santa Cruz was going to fold from his... "

Just as he said this, LSC was KO'd and Al Bernstein went silent of course..

One of the best unfinished quotes?

FIGHTER REACTIONS

Terence Crawford - I'm no hater, good f--king fight. Tank you was sharp

Ryan Garcia
- You’re outta your mind if you think that makes me waiver! It’s my turn next and then it’s on!!! LETS GO.

Sergio Mora - 3 BIGGEST KNOCKOUTS in 2020 have all come via left uppercut. That left uppercut was flying from round one! Tank was bound to catch em. What a punch! What a KNOCKOUT! Tank a BEAST!!

Jamel Herring - Man, I looked down at my phone for a sec, looked up, and the fight was over... did every fight on this card end by knockout?!

Andre Berto - That’s a bad boy, both guys came in great shape. But Davis had to many dimensions SPEED, POWER, SHARPNESS, HE BOXED, HE CAN WALKED U DOWN WITH POWER smh it was too much.... Prayers up on Leo being able to walk out of the ring after that shot..

Regis Prograis
- OMG that was nasty??

Devin Haney - GAH DAMN! Tank Tank

Errol Spence - Mf hit like a horse kick. Sat his ass down, damn.

That was one hell of an uppercut, absolutely full rotation, and SC never saw it coming, picture perfect delivery of an in-close uppercut, not sure there's anybody is going to take one of those full blooded no matter how good a chin they've got.

Good to see Davis testing himself and producing an elite level performance, Hopefully lots more to come from him.

I assume, everyone gave Leo the first two. That sounds right.

Davis had a guaranteed purse of $1m. His highest payday..

Santa Cruz was also guaranteed a career-high $1.5m.

Both of them are to split 50-50 on PPV revenue.

Leo Santa Cruz looking for rematch with Gervonta Davis

Santa Cruz admits he got caught with a huge shot but thinks he would’ve won if the fight went the distance.

In this video interview with Fight Hub TV following the Errol Spence vs Danny Garcia fight, Leo Santa Cruz shares some of his thoughts on the bout and talks a bit about where he wants to go next in his career, saying he’ll be looking for a rematch against Davis if he can manage it. Check out some quotes below.

Santa Cruz on Spence-Garcia:

“I knew it was gonna be a tough fight for both. They were landing some good shots, both of them. But like I said, if Errol Spence threw more punches he was going to win the fight because he’s busier and Danny wasn’t as busy.”

On what he wants to do next following his knockout loss to Davis:

“The fight [against Davis] was good. I got caught. I don’t take nothing away from ‘Tank’ Davis but I think that if the fight would’ve gone 12 rounds, I think I could’ve won the fight. So, you know, I’m gonna ask for the rematch.

“I’m gonna ask for the rematch, hopefully they give it to me. And if not, we’re gonna go look for another fight.”

On Tyson-Jones:

“It was good, you know, two legends. They were great fighters and looked really good compared to being that age.”

On a proposed Tyson-Holyfield fight:

“They’re legends, people still love them. People want to see them. And even thought the fans know they’re not going to go all out and everything, they still want to watch them because they know they’re great fighters.”
