According to CBS affiliate WJZ in Baltimore, WBA super featherweight & lightweight world champion Gervonta Davis was reportedly involved in a hit-and-run accident in South Baltimore overnight.

The news outlet states that the accident happened around 1:53 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Baltimore Police arrived at the scene of a multi-car accident. They found several people suffering from minor injuries, one person was taken to an area hospital.

According to police, a vehicle ran through a red light and struck another vehicle, then left the scene.

Police would not confirm to CBS WJZ if Davis was at the scene or driving the vehicle, but a source told CBS WJZ that Davis was driving the car in question that allegedly ran the red light.

Last Saturday night at the Alamodome in Texas, Davis had the biggest night of his career when he knocked out Leo Santa Cruz in the sixth round. The contest, which headlined a Showtime pay-per-view card, saw Davis land a crushing uppercut to knock Santa Cruz out cold. Video clips of the knockout went viral on the internet, garnering millions of views.

The fight was Davis' debut as a pay-per-view headliner, with sources indicating the event generated a better than expected buyrate.

Mayweather is intolerable but Davis seems to look up to him and perhaps Floyd can keep him in the game long enough to achieve what his talent merits. If he loses a fight I believe he will spiral out of control and his career will suffer but as long as he's winning and looking up to Floyd as his guru, he has a chance. Floyd has matured a lot, even if he is still an insufferable personality.

he's better than broner for sure, though very similar out of the ring. he does seem a bit less stoopid overall than adrien though.

I was going to say, all this Broner part 2 isn't really right. He's Gervonta Davis. He's a real hood kid from Baltimore who can fight and he's more talented than Broner, who was a weight bully at the height of his career, really. That story about Floyd buying Davis a fully furnished apartment and him selling all the furniture and moving back to Baltimore is almost endearing. The wife beating stuff is pure scumbag behaviour... Although I can't really make out what's going on in that video.

Anyway, the real point is he's far more talented than Broner and actually seems to have two brain cells to rub together. I'm not really much of a fan, but his recent performance was pretty spectacular and hopefully he comes good.

This Afternoon @gervontaa was Davis was indicted on 14 counts in Baltimore Circuit Court, Police responded at about 1:55 a.m. Nov. 5 for a crash between a 2020 Lamborghini Uris and a 2004 Toyota Solara, according to the press release.
The red-light camera showed the Lamborghini going south on MLK, then driving through the red light and striking the front passenger side of the Toyota, according to the press release.
The Lamborghini then crashed into the fence of a nearby 7-Eleven; the driver was allegedly identified by witnesses as Gervonta Davis, according to the release. charges include:
* Four counts of Failure to immediately return and remain at scene of accident involving bodily injury
* Failure of driver involved in accident to render reasonable assistance to injured person
* Failure of vehicle driver involved in accident to furnish req. ID and license
* Failure of vehicle driver involved in accident to exhibit license to police 6
* Failure of vehicle driver involved in accident to report to nearest police
* Failure of vehicle driver in accident to locate and notify owner of unattended property of damage
* Failure of vehicle driver in accident to furnish required ID information in writing on unattended vehicle property
* Person driving motor vehicle on highway on suspended license and privilege
* Person driving motor vehicle on highway on revoked license and privilege
* Driving motor vehicle on highway without required license and authorization
* Driver fail to stop at steady circular red signal.
If convicted of all charges, Davis faces a potential maximum of 7 years and 55 days in prison
