i expect benn to win this time, as he should be improving , i dont rate benn dont think he will win a domestic title.

This is a fair step up in class for Benn, not sure I am sold on Benn. If Formella was any sort of banger then I would heavily favour him here. I don't think Benn has the best whiskers in the business, but he's a grafter and very game.

Formella was also very game against Porter but let's have it right, he did lose every round. On saying that I do think if Benn doesn't get the stoppage then we might see a very contentious decision.

It should be a good fight

yea agree formella lost every rd against porter but porter dont let you win rds unless you stand him. lets ave it right i aint calling benn a bum he is a hard working brawler , but benn aint porter though i expected benn to start aggressive but i think he will gas in 3rds and like you say if formella has any power which he will be able to land on benn i think he will win, but if benn wins this fight fair play to him

Conor seems a sound lad, I like him, remembering his debut and the whole build up and razzmataz , 18 year old with a short amateur career at a low level, trying to think of anyone making their pro debut under so much pressure, the only time you see guys make their debut under a bigger spotlight are amateur stand outs, Olympians mainly, Benn never had anything to suggest he'd do anything as a pro, anyone else with his amateur background would do well to win an Area title, his dads achievements have allowed him to get the world class coaching, training facilities, sparring etc that other guys wouldnt have got, and that no bad thing IMO, some people grudge things like that but you play the hand your dealt, Conor seems a grounded fella and dedicated to the sport, even if he losses tomorrow it really probably doesn't mean that much at his age and being with Eddie

Formella certainly no mug, not much of a dig but lots of rounds under his belt and only a loss to Shawn Porter, I can see him having a bit too much for Benn at this stage of his career.

Just seen the Formella fight against Mbenge and I think Connor will walk straight through him and finish him .
Looks a really negative Ottke type to me .

mbenge is pretty solid and formella beat him, if benn just blows him out when a guy like porter couldnt drop or stop him it's pretty dang impressive

Saw Mbenge a couple of times on Boxination when they used to have South African cards on fairly regularly, remember him stopping Miguel Vasquez. Pretty decent fighter, handy win for Formella against him.

Aye I thought Mbenge was coming along nicely as well but Formella deserved the W, he's gotta be favourite against Benn, I'd Benn does win then i hope theres no dodgy judging

I'd say it wasn't at all convincing and was a negative performance , but yes he did get the W.

Nothing personal against Connor but he’s looked distinctly English title level.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that and people would still tune in - but I don’t see any bonafide champions worrying when they watch him.

A Lynes or Jennings type in recent years would have too much for him.

It’s a shame those guys and the Mutiey’s aren’t still around.

Yeh, he's already captured a WBA belt and ranked..

But shouldn't he have fought for an Area belt or English belt at least first.. Then British/Comm..

He has no am experience, but it seems they are rushing him here..

People underestimate Conor. I didn't like him at first, but he's grown on me. He has the animal streak that a lot of boxers lack. I'm sure he'll rough up and dominate Formella.

:TU:

I'd agree with this. Good fight to see where he's at. I would not be surprised if Formella nicked it though.

Benn's improving and some of his results suggest he has potential to go beyond domestic level.

I'd like to bet on Formella on points but I'm wary that O'Connor might be judging and distracted by his pen again.
