Woman's bouts are ruining it for me. I turned it off after the Chookagian-Calvillo fight. Even the first fight of the night was crap. Shogun is a shell of his former self. He should have retired years ago.

I don't think he beats Oliveira at this stage of their careers.

Hard to say. Gaethje really was phenomenal against Fergo. I like Oliveira, but Fergo is still a special kind of fighter in his own right.

If i was the ref I'd have DQd both of them for pretending to fight. Shouting ISH ISH while throwing 1-2s from miles.out, knowing full well they would fall 6 inches short is fvcking disgraceful. It's time fans starting voting with the remote and turning off during women's bouts, maybe when advertisers feel like they're been short changed by drastic fall in viewing numbers for the duration of these fights they'll bin them.

Wasn't so long ago that Joanna and Weilli put on a great fight straight after Romero and Adasenya stared at each other for 5 rounds.

Joanna Weilli was ridiculous, they landed nearly 400 "significant" strikes on each other, with tiny gloves on, for 25 minutes, both too shite to slip a shot, and yet both still too weak to get a KO. I thought it was pathetic.

Most fans, especially of ufc, aren't too critical of boxing skill. Not sure what I was supposed to be impressed about with this fight, 2 women seriously lacking in power or the ability to slip a shot slapped each other purple for 25 minutes. Seen more skilled.fights and better athletes outside The Red Triangle.

Yeah but even ignoring how Tony looked in the fight. Imagine the mileage from that fight alone. That was an ass whooping and a half.

Most actual boxers I know, recognise how difficult it is to use boxing in an MMA setup as there is more than just punches to worry about. Bear in mind Johanna was successful in kickboxing as well as MMA.

Besides that these wee birds would smash you to bits Ricky, be real about it

I think both them are really good fighters. I didn’t enjoy their fight it was too messy for me but they displayed world class courage and heart at the least.

Yes unquestionably they showed toughness and heart. I just didn't get the FOTY nonsense that followed it, it wasn't any great display if skill nor athleticism imo.

COVID strikes again. The card is hardly worth watching now. I guess Smith vs. Clark is decent enough to watch for free on ESPN.

The best prelim on the card (Zhumagulov vs. Albazi) was scrapped a few days ago due to visa issues, too.
