Boxrec should clarify policy about unsanctioned shows
Re: Boxrec should clarify policy about unsanctioned shows
John, we don't want to argue at all. We try to understand the whole situation. EBU member is not on boxrec... Please remember about the fighter who are the only ones injured in this...
Re: Boxrec should clarify policy about unsanctioned shows
I agree. Whether somebody likes PWBZ or not EBU made the matter clear that they support them. Promoters are in the very bad spot at the point.
Re: Boxrec should clarify policy about unsanctioned shows
Promoters have the free choice of using a commission in our system or one that isn't. BoxRec only recognises the PBU in Poland and in the UK we only recognise the BBBofC. Of course in both countries there are other commissions supervising events but we do not recognise them. I can't really say more as it is in the hands of the lawyers

But do you not think it’s crazy that The EBU are telling organisations like The BBBoC not to sanction any of their boxers to fight on PBU. Or the fact that boxers are fighting for WBC belts on shows that aren’t being published on BoxRec.
Whatever internal problems there is needs to be sorted but surely in mean time something can be done to ensure that the fighters who risk their lives have their records displayed correctly (they fought under the instruction of EBU saying not to fight with PBU).
Out of interest is there any other comission that is part of The EBU but not listed by BoxRec ?
I would suggest a fair resolution is listing these events without a comission.

We can't tell the EBU what to do, but there are loads of other titles available.

Yes, there have been three or four in the past where we have had to draw the line.K Evans C Slater wrote: ↑25 Nov 2020, 16:46 Out of interest is there any other comission that is part of The EBU but not listed by BoxRec ?
