Viral entertainment platform Triller provided details for Saturday's pay-per-view exhibition between boxing legends Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. The exhibition will consist of eight two-minute rounds, twelve-ounce gloves, a winner will not be announced in the ring, but the WBC has appointed ex-fighters Chad Dawson, Vinny Paz and Christy Martin who will pick a winner (the result will not count on the boxers' records). Friday's weigh-in will be hosted by Barry Eget, and will start at 5PM ET, available globally including on www.TysonOnTriller.com. "Fans are in for a one-of-a-kind weigh-in next Friday, and it will be nothing less than iconic. Triller has truly poured its heart and soul into creating an experience that matches this legendary moment," says Bobby Sarnevesht, Triller's Executive Chair.

The pay-per-view itself will be hosted by Mario Lopez. It will be a four-hour live event that will air globally on November 28th at 8pm ET, with the three-hour main card beginning at 9:00 pm ET. The cost of the pay-per-view is $49.99. The fight card includes Tyson vs. Jones Jr., Jake Paul vs. Nate Robinson, Badou Jack vs. Blake McKernan, and Viddal Riley vs. Rashad Coulter with multi-song performances from Lil Wayne, French Montana, Wiz Khalifa, YG, and Ne-Yo. Commentators include a unique lineup including undefeated UFC champion Israel "The Last Stylebender" Adesanya as well as boxing Hall of Famer and Olympic Champion Sugar, Ray Leonard.

The musical acts lineup will no longer include a performance from rapper, singer, and songwriter, DaBaby. "DaBaby unfortunately has to pull out from the performance due to ongoing family obligations. He is appreciative of the Triller team for their support and understanding. The Triller team wishes him the best during this current situation and looks forward to working with him in the future," says Ryan Kavanaugh, fight producer and Triller co-owner.

According to Kavanaugh, a knockout ending is a possibility, the World Boxing Council will provide three judges - and he also maintains that there will be a winner announced.

“Know there have been some false rumors swirling, so to be crystal clear. The WBC is scoring the fight. There could be a knockout and there will be one winner. Anyone who says there is no judging or no winner either does not understand the rules or has their own agenda. Unquestionably, 100 percent. DraftKings is the betting partner and is taking bets on the fight in New Jersey, New Hampshire, and Illinois. The only difference is the fight is the gloves are 12 ounces, there are eight rounds and the rounds are two minutes rather than three. That is it,” Kavanaugh said in the statement.

I have read that people use the Corrie Sanders exhibition as an example that no Tyson spars are exhibition - Sure Tyson floored him, apologised and subsequently carried Sanders the remaining rounds.

No, he floored him. Actually Tyson moved a lot better in that "fight" than he did vs McBride. It was a light spar though and no way should Sanders have been allowed to spar..... Tyson was holding back alot.

Sanders must have been pretty tough at one time. I remember reading about his fight with James Gaines back in the late 90's, apparently it was some sort of fight of the year candidate.

Hope it's a tear up and not a sparring contest, Jones is fresher but he hasn't been able to hold a shot since Tarver iced him and he's probably equally as shot as Tyson, I reckon Tyson can genuinely KO him in a round

Yes I recall the Golota fight was good as well, I have a tape of it too somewhere although annoyingly for some reason the recording missed the beginning of the main set of fireworks in one of the early rounds.

Mike Tyson v Roy Jones Jr. knocks-out pre-sale PPV records

The ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ boxing bout between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. has broken pre-sale pay-per-view fight records.

The fight, taking place on November 28 at 9PM EST, will be available on PPV through cable and satellite providers internationally, and on the FITE.tv website and app. Triller, the video making and social media app, will also show and produce the event, with its co-founder Ryan Kavanaugh describing it as “a one-time, once-in-a-lifetime battle,” and that Tyson “transcends all mediums.”

FITE COO Michael Weber said that the company is “excited to be a part of this pop cultural event,” and added that “advance sales for this event will make this the most watched event in our 5-year history of streaming live sporting events.”

Weber noted that its partners, such as BT Sport in the UK, “are also reporting advance sales that will put it on par with other top UFC and Boxing events in the past few years.”

The event will also feature YouTuber Jake Paul take on basketball star Nate Robinson, along with a number of other bouts from current professional boxers and musical performances from the likes of Lil Wayne and Wiz Khalifa.

The headline bout between two retired icons of the sport has been hotly discussed by pundits. Some have questioned whether it is a real contest, while others in the industry have branded it a ‘farcical event’ between two ‘fifty-somethings’ who are only interested in the money.

Triller’s Kavanaugh has refuted that claim, saying: “Anyone who is saying this isn’t a real fight, or there won’t be a knockout or winner is now realizing uh oh…this is real. I think people were just in disbelief they were actually going to witness a real Tyson fight. But it is as real as real gets. There will be a winner. Knockouts are allowed.”

The PPV event will cost £19.95/€29.99 in the UK and Ireland, while US viewers will spend US$49.99 to see ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson step into the ring again.
