How is Jason Booth getting on?

Post by TheLeprechaun »

I liked Booth a lot when he was fighting. He battled alcohol and drugs and came through it to win titles and be a great servant to british boxing. Anyone know how he's getting on after his life in boxing? His brother Nicky was also a decent fighter.

Three years ago he was back on the hard drugs and getting nicked for shoplifting.. heroin such a tough thing to get yourself out of ..
I hope he’s getting some help now. Not sure about his brother but I think he had similar issues, but that was a long time ago.

I remember fighting a fella called Steve Conway once, I was on my own and ended up grabbing Mike Shinfield to do my corner.
Mike said to me he had a fighter who beat Conway in the amateurs and would go and get him for me to have a chat.
At first I wasn't sure if Mike was joking or not as what seemed like a little 12 yr old kid strolled in the dressing room and started telling me the ins and outs of what to do!
In fairness I think Jason was only like 18 but looked much, much younger and prob could have done 7 stone!

Always loved watching the Booth brothers.

Whatever their faults you can’t say they weren’t blessed with talent and toughness.

Pretty sure Jason’s tv debut was on Eurosport vs Dave Coldwell, who was ridiculously similar to Naz in appearance at the time.

I last saw Dale at an after party for Carl J-Sykes. He didn’t look much better than Booth on his worst day.

What fight did you watch?..... Galahad was dropped legitimately at the end of the first and took a count.

It was a very very flash knockdown. Galahad touched the canvas for a nano second. Rewatch the fight and look up the meaning of a 'heavy knockdown'..... :TU:

I remember doing an interview with James Hare and he was a right rude prick as I recall.

I ended up sat next to his little brother, kid must have been about 9, and having to console him when Hare got absolutely battered senseless, blood everywhere there was, and the poor lad was in floods of tears.

"That'll teach the rude prick" I thought.
