Is David Haye making a comeback?

Post by Enlightened-One »

Immediately after the Tyson-Jones Jr. weigh-in, via BT Sports, Richie Woodhall and Paul Dempsey discussed the reason why veterans fighters are addicted to boxing, compelling them to make comebacks during middle-age.

They strongly hinted that David Haye is due to make an imminent announcement, with the Hayemaker reacting with a wry smile.

He looks in fantastic shape, but he’s in his forties and appeared totally shot, with zero durability, during the Bellew rematch.

He’s also notoriously injury prone, but despite this, Dempsey and Woodhall both strongly alluded to Haye’s imminent comeback announcement.

Thoughts? :-?

Don't like him. Never did. He's a dumbass for coming back. I don't give a sh*t if he gets hurt or not.

Alright maybe I was harsh for wishing a Coma on him, but anything other than him getting knocked out would be a disappointment to me.

Fair enough. I’d say it’s fine to wish someone gets knocked out if you don’t like them. More than that is a bit rough.

Haye won't win a world title again, but might make for some interesting matchups in a comeback.

Haye lost to former lightheavyweight Tony Bellew. Cruiserweights arent just heavyweights that have to make weight, sometimes they're former Lwhs smws or even former mws. Haye wont be able to participate in any interesting matchups, all he could possibly do is beat up some tomatocans and doing that really isnt worth the effort.

I used to really dislike Haye but he has grown on me so I hope that he stays out of the ring. He does however have talent when it comes to promoting fights so perhaps thats the direction he should go.

I don’t see that at all. He‘s doing other things now.

Unless he's been stupid with his spending he needs to stay away.

Remember his long winded but candid retirement statement where he explained that he had been carrying a long term debilitating back injury through the entire back end of his career?

He would be risking aggravating previously serious long term health and mobility issues.

Not to mention getting knocked into a coma.

Stick to the TV work David.

What a week, first ODLH wanting to fight GGG and now this? This bogus wu-flu crisis is driving everyone crazy.

I agree with you, but if you watch this snippet for a minute, I wonder if you interpret Dempsey and Woodhall's comments about Haye the same as I've done:

It suggests that Haye is (at the very least) sorely tempted to return to the ring.

Should of stayed retired when he dodged Tyson Fury.
If these two can see a point in tomorrow morning's shitfest they're trying to promote then I suppose they could legitimise any old crap if its an extra few hours overtime. How about R. Woodhall V Steve Collins it'd be boring as fornicate but who gives a shit BT will televise any old crap so long as it's not a serious fight.

His another comeback will be an act of insanity. He can be athletic, but still his body is fragile, what have been already proven for many times.

Haye needs to challenge Briggs if he's coming back. Them two had something going that was really interesting,a few years ago. They need to resume that whole charade. It was a b-grade charade at best but it was very enticingly intriguing nevertheless,in a fan pleasing sort of fashion.

F*ck him ... he got famous because of arguements with klitchko on the escalator at shopping mall, i wished klitchko pushed and throw him off escalator and end up with a permanent broken neck.

We didn't need him see a chicken run against klitchko and fooling 80,000 fans.

I wouldn’t have thought so haye just simply doesn’t have it anymore Father Time has truly caught up , a prime haye would have destroyed bellew and he got taken apart In the rematch , the body just cannot take it
