Does exhibition boxing have a future on ppv ?

Post by goose 5 »

Can last night's exhibition be parlayed into future ppv events ? Or, was this a one time novelty ?

Not a good number with zero fans in the house and Tyson getting 10 million.

Well, looks like it did around 1.25 million...

We're gonna definitely see more of these.

for as long as it makes money it will be there .

seems like a lot of retired fighters are eyeing up some easy money and maybe more than they got paid first time around ..

Pro Wrestling has been selling PPV for years and it is no more real
than exhibition boxing.

Pro wrestling is like a soap, characters. Like watching a tv programme. But yeh, you’re right.

I think there's a lot of money to be made in a 'Masters Boxing League'.

in a way its just a form of entertainment like any other , people want it and will pay for a ticket or stream and as long as they enjoy it then so what ... personally I would rather put $50 in a charity box than pay for a ppv like Tyson v Jones .

I dont have any issue with older fighters getting some cash as a result , but lets not allow the lines to be blurred by the hype machine suggesting Mike Tyson could challenge for a title again !

They were " boxers " back in the day and now are performers just like an actor / singer or any other entertainer .
