Some of us were applauding Danny for taking this extremely risky fight. He didn't have to.

Trouble is that matchmaking big fights is so damn difficult nowadays, near impossible in many cases. So sometimes promoters take the easy way out (Kell Brook v GGG?) and it can have disastrous consequences.

FW has an unfortunate history of doing such things but we fans rarely complain beforehand, do we?

Luckily Danny did the right thing and will be able to come back stronger than ever.

Joe on the other hand will be hoping for a mega fight - if one can be arranged.

They say Doubious eye socket seems broken or affected because he had nerve pain, exactly what GGG did to brook.
If true, someone needs to break FW eye socket, so next time will plans a better fights

As a very young prospect You don't take a 50/50 fight, unless you are a contender taking title eliminator fight

If I was Joyce I would dump Warren for misrepresentation.
He assumed Dubois would win and treated Joyce like cannon fodder.
Joyce should find a new promoter.

Joyce will most likely be in line for a big fight following his win, and Dubois, at 23, can rebuild and continue his journey.

Had Dubois won it would almost certainly have been the end for Joyce as far as big fights go. As it stands Warren will make money in the future off both fighters.

Personally I applaud Warren for making the fight. If boxing is going to compete with the UFC promoters have to start putting on competitive shows.

We'd all be screaming he's protecting his two assets from one another if this fight hadn't been made.
It was the perfect timing, for Dubois....young enough to learn from and come back from a defeat, or win and be propelled right into the top tier....
It was must win for Joyce, who is older and had all the pedigree, but seemingly came in very much the betting underdog and he can carry on on his path.

Don't forget about the many many boxers Frank has carried to 25-0 records without much real opposition who then get their title shot and don't do too much when they come up against decent level opposition.
