I expect the winner of this to try unify against Junior Makabu for the worst unification fight ever...

Naa.. Hearn gonna milk Britain’s newest World champion, (if he wins).. Gonna probably have him fight a few bums in east defences before looking at unification.. unless he has a tough mandatory.

As the fight get's closer, I'm stilll leaning towards Glowacki.

I feel Okolie is not ready and he's fighting a near world class boxer..

Okolie can still win this..

I also think Glowacki is set to win, and I don't think Hearn will be bothered in the slightest if that's the way it goes. Okolie isn't a ppv star in the making so why not throw him under the bus?

Okolie must be a prime candidate to go on a drugs cycle. Almost at top level but something missing. Wants a bit more power. How much to British boxers get drug tested prior to a fight being announced?

Be interesting to see how Okolie copes with the government's recent 'No hugging' recommendations

Glowacki proved himself to be a solid boxer, but he doesn't looks special. I mean, he doesn't have elusiveness or an ability to fight dirty, which could help him to deal with the mauling hugging tactics of Okolie. And Glowacki isn't much resistant to big punches. I see Okolie spoiling the fight effectively in his favor and stopping Glowacki in the later rounds.

Glowacki’s out of the fight with Covid.

They’re looking for a replacement but not sure they’ll be able to get anyone in decent and I guess highly unlikely a world title will be at stake.

If I were Eddie I'd pull Okolie from the card now. Nobody is buying the ppv to watch him fight a late notice replacement, are they? It'd just be an hour you'd never get back.

I get that but he’ll want to help justify the price by saying there’s another world title fight on the show. Plus Okolie hasn’t fought since lockdown so will be wanting a pre Xmas payday.

If they can get an opponent (there are some names in the WBO top 10 that may we’ll take it) and keep it for the vacant title then they’ll still do it:

I'd only buy this show if the main event started at 9pm or earlier and wasn't filled with fluff like Okolie v Stiff. I'm not interested in a crappy undercard offering or stopping up until midnight or later.

Yeh, they should put it on the Povetkin-Whyte rematch card.

Lawrence Okolie fight off as Krzysztof Glowacki tests positive for Covid-19

Krzysztof Glowacki has tested positive for Covid-19.

Okolie will instead fight a new opponent to be named shortly.

Okolie and Glowacki were set to go head to head for the vacant WBO cruiserweight championship on the undercard to Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev on December 12, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

Promoter Eddie Hearn tweeted: "The search is on. Any top 10 cruiserweights slide into my DM's."

Undefeated Okolie had stormed through 2019 with four knockouts and won the European title but must now wait to further his accomplishments.

Experienced Pole Glowacki has won 31 of his 33 fights, losing only to Oleksandr Usyk and Mairis Briedis.

Glowacki is a former WBO champion.

The Joshua vs Pulev undercard includes two heavyweight battles - Hughie Fury will take on Mariusz Wach and Martin Bakole will fight Sergey Kuzmin.

Not great those, but you'll have to do a lot better to beat Mchunu vs Okolie.

Why not get the Savage to shed a few pounds? He can make Cruiserweight easy. That would get give the PPV sales a boost.

Babic v Okolie would be great fun. He has just fought and should be in shape. No way they will do it, although they should.

Fuućk this. I wanted to go to London to see this fight in May, but due to the so called pandemics they postponed it, now due to the so called posivite result of the so called COVID test they postponed it again. Would they ever let us live in normal world again? I doubt so.

Michał Cieślak (who is going to fight Mabika on 05.12) is willing to replace Głowacki, but it's not going to happen for various reason (promoters conflict on Polish scene is one of them). It would be a very good replacement. Due to ''styles make fights'' rule, I think that Cieślak would be more likely to win it than Głowacki.
