Re: Is Holyfield-Tyson 3 coming??
Yes it is coming.
The rules, however, are different. Each round will be 2 minutes, with each fighter getting a 2-minute break in a massage chair fully equipped with oxygen. Each fighter is also getting lap dance between rounds from the ring card girls, but the extra motivation can only be used twice in the match. In the event of a knock down, the count will be changed to 20 seconds. 20 ounce gloves will be worn. The exhibition match will be scheduled for 5 rounds. Fans get all this for $49.99 on PPV.
How could you miss it?

Re: Is Holyfield-Tyson 3 coming??
We aren’t going to see Tyson-Holyfield III. It simply won't happen!
However, we might eventually see Tyson and Holyfield engaging in a body-spar exhibition, whereby taps to the head are allowed, but it won’t be a real fight.
It’ll be a commercially-popular business venture, resulting in both men receiving huge paydays, but it won’t be a genuine sporting spectacle.
If this novelty circus spectacle takes place during the summer months, then Holyfield will be approaching 59 years of age, four years older than Tyson.
Anyone up for a summer 2021 super-fight between a 71½ year old Larry Holmes and the 72½ year old George Foreman?
Instead of using headgear, both men could enter the ring using Zimmer frames.

At what point does society draw a line? There has to be universally-accepted limits as to what is deemed as being morally acceptable or not?
Or is it a case of anything goes, as long it generates profit and paydays?

Re: Is Holyfield-Tyson 3 coming??
I think so. That’s the big money ticket for this legends only boxing.

After the financial success of Tyson vs Roy, Mike will fight again, most likely against Holyfield but Andrew Golota declared his will as well.

How do you come to that conclusion?
It's quite a stretch to claim that 50% of boxing fans are gay when about 10% of the public at large are gay.
What do you think attracts so many gay fans to the sport, if your figures are to be believed?

I think you're right.aicheligad wrote: ↑02 Dec 2020, 12:48 After the financial success of Tyson vs Roy, Mike will fight again, most likely against Holyfield but Andrew Golota declared his will as well.
Lennox Lewis has hinted he might be tempted to return and no doubt, Bowe will be along shortly, although, to be fair, Bowe has been open to returning for years.
I wonder if Razor Ruddock might fancy it?
Of course, he embarked on a disastrous comeback about five years ago, but that was a genuine comeback against real and active boxers.
He might be tempted to rumble again against his fellow pre-pensioners.

Hopefully it's Tyson vs another fighter from his era, not Tyson vs active fighter or Tyson vs celebrity/youtuber circus show.Syntax Error wrote: ↑02 Dec 2020, 12:56I think you're right.aicheligad wrote: ↑02 Dec 2020, 12:48 After the financial success of Tyson vs Roy, Mike will fight again, most likely against Holyfield but Andrew Golota declared his will as well.

They can make more now in one fight than they did their pro careers!

Some of them need the money too, so if they can get doing some light sparring with an equally aged opponent, then why not?

Joihn L. Sullivan, Jack Dempsey and Archie Moore are rumored to be thinking about joining as well....ok, ok, j/k! But Stanley Ketchell did e-mail Ring Magazine the other day about it...Syntax Error wrote: ↑02 Dec 2020, 12:56I think you're right.aicheligad wrote: ↑02 Dec 2020, 12:48 After the financial success of Tyson vs Roy, Mike will fight again, most likely against Holyfield but Andrew Golota declared his will as well.

Re: Is Holyfield-Tyson 3 coming??
Is it only a matter on time until Tyson snaps in a tough fight on one of his own cards & ruins his own promotion?
Wouldn't be a good look if the promoter gets beat up in just his second bout.
Would people still want to see Tyson if he loses again in one of these exhibitions?
Tyson needs to stay very active & fight cans if he wants to continue his gravy train! At 54, he can't stay in shape for much longer. Unless he resorts to reducing his opponents to undersized youtubers..

Re: Is Holyfield-Tyson 3 coming??
I can't imagine why they wouldn't. Though Tyson vs Paul might be bigger. Gotta to think Paul drew a lot of those buys but I'm glad they all made money. I predicted 45k.
Re: Is Holyfield-Tyson 3 coming??
I have literally no interest. I believe you should retire gracefully.
But, if there’s a market, let them fight.

They might do an exhibition but no real contest.
