Hearn knows this and will always allow AJ the best deal therefore if he wants to stay with AJ and AJ goes to DAZN Eddie will follow.

I listened to your interview with Frank earlier that was posted yesterday. I’m surprised how worked up he his considering what Eddie said. Eddie saying he wasn’t sure it was a fractured eye socket wasn’t really necessary but also surprising how much it’s wound up Frank. Particularly given how Frank was singing after Dillian’s loss to Povetkin and what he said after AJ lost to Ruiz.

Also I think Frank was wrong when he claimed Eddie said ‘they were lying about it’. I haven’t heard or seen that anywhere.

At least it's not a night IN, Mick. Which is all we tier 3ers have at the moment. I wouldn't mind being there. Just to watch some live boxing again. Alas, I'll have to go fishing or, as with most of Joshua's recent fights, miss it and watch it on youtube in the morning.

Joshua-Pulev referee named

Deon Dwarte, from Richwood, in Cape Town has been appointed as referee for England’s Anthony Joshua’s defense of his WBA/IBF/WBO and IBO heavyweight belts against Kubret Pulev of Bulgaria, at the Wembley Arena in Wembley, England on Saturday the 12th of December

The 51-year-old Dwarte will become only the second South African to step into the ring as a third man in a world heavyweight title fight, with Stan Christodoulou being the first when he was the referee for the WBA heavyweight title fight between Mike Weaver and James Tillis in Rosemont, Illinios, USA on October 3, 1981. Christodoulou has officiated in more than 242 world title fights.

Dwarte flew to London last Friday where he has had stay in a bubble for a week due to the Coronavirus.

Deon, a deputy director at the Western Cape department of community safety‚ was a useful amateur boxer in his day‚ fighting in the same military team as Gary Murray‚ who went on to win a marginal world title as a professional.

He earned provincial colors with Griqualand West and won light-flyweight silver at the 1988 SA Defence Force championships‚ when they were famously competitive and has possibly acted as a referee and judge in more than 1 100 fights since he first stepped in as a judge in 1998.

He has a strong claim to being the best boxing official in South Africa at present.

Before Joshua ran into Ruiz first time around I'd put everything i owned on him walking through Pulev but as good as he was in the rematch it was only 2 fights ago he was battered and that will give all his opponents confidence that wasnt there before, still you've got to fancy Joshua strongly here, Pulev not the fighter he was, think last time i seen him was against Hughie and although he won wide that night he wasnt great, Hughie was just shite


Joshua should pick Pulev apart with the jab early doors, bust him up before dropping the right hands as the rounds wear on, can see him getting Pulev out of there around the 6th

Do you think Pulev is tougher than Breazeale? Because AJ threw the kitchen sink at him with nothing coming back and he didn't go until the 7th? Lil Takam lasted until the 10th and even then was stopped on his feet, and as Parker was perceived as a legitimate challenge with a chin, that fight went the distance. I doubt I'll be putting any money on but probably if I did I might go for AJ on points or late stoppage as I think they'll both be cautious.

Anthony Joshua v Kubrat Pulev: How to follow fight on the BBC



World heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua will defend his titles against mandatory challenger Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev on 12 December at Wembley Arena.


Great Britain's Joshua, 31, holds the IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO world titles.

Up to 1,000 fans will be able to attend and those without a ticket can listen on BBC Radio 5 Live and follow live text coverage on the BBC Sport website.

Joshua was due to face the 39-year-old in June but it was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

BBC Radio 5 Live will be on air from 22:00 with all the build-up.
