1-8-1915 Seattle - Ike Cohen vs Jack Newton (aka Ludwig Anderson). Wasn't the actual charge murder? Coroner's jury did not agree. AP wire 1-12-1915. Unless your local entry says differently.

Billy Papke commited murder but wasn't convicted because he killed himself, right after he killed his wife.

He wasn't convicted, but Rocky Marciano got by with murder in his fight with Don Cockel. (okay..okay...you can boo if you must, but I couldn't resist it.)
