and what YOU are missing is that the OP stated he was watching soccer AM, not boxing. So his commentating ability (which you are right about) is irrelevant.tonyevs wrote: ↑08 Nov 2020, 14:15The point you are missing is that there are plenty of other ex-boxers who could do a better job of commentating than Bellew does; he is an attention seeking whore who will say whatever nonsense he thinks his paymasters wants to hear .. his opinion is always 100% a biased opinion, and whilst that ok if your sat in a pub and some no brain piss head wants to spout their nonsense, this no brain idiot is getting paid to be some sort of boxing expert able to read a fight.Steveh583 wrote: ↑08 Nov 2020, 09:30change the record ffs. boxing fans pointing out an ex champ is on the tele is so fornicating tiresome. you don't have to watch him, theres loads of channels nowadays.PredatorHayds wrote: ↑08 Nov 2020, 09:22 The man who wanted to escape the limelight had another cameo on Soccer AM yesterday.
He loves a camera does Tony.
He still doesn’t believe he turned his back on Adonis.
Edit: I actually apologize for sound so abrupt there, but every time he speaks its the same old boring patter from "fans" who moan boxing doesnt get enough coverage, then moan relentlessly when it does.
I expect even those paying him know he is an idiot with practically zero respect in the game, so the commentating will eventually dry up .. then beware because he will be desperate enough to do the Strictly Dancing/Get me out of here/reality TV thing to extend his celebrity

I like how they always put Froch on the edge of shot so he's not sure when he's on, where he alternates between his rictus telly grin and Sid James faces.

WBC signals it will sanction Fury-Joshua before mandatory
Anthony Joshua holds the IBF, WBO and WBA heavyweight championships. Tyson Fury holds the WBC version. They both have fights planned for December, but after that, both men have indicated a wilingness to unify. The question is will the sanctioning bodies allow it or strip away titles if Joshua and Fury sign for a super fight? The WBC has Alexander Povetkin as an interim champion and the WBO has Oleksandr Usyk as mandatory contender. So if Joshua and Fury both win in December, the question becomes whether they can fight each other with all four belts on the line. WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman seemed to indicate the WBC would indeed greenlight Fury-Joshua ahead of Fury-Povetkin. Joshua posted on social media, "Fighting for the WBC title would be an honor. It's a prestigious belt, it's one that I'm keen on getting my hands on."
To which WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman responded, " Dear champ , your message is humbling , We are proud of you. The WBC was the first organization to rank you. A proud former WBC International champion. We welcome you to fight for the ultimate unification for the undisputed heavyweight championship."

What governing body would turn down a sanctioning fee as big as the Fury v Joshua fight? no way they make anything like the same money from Povetkin or Usyk fighting anybody else in the division.

Eddie Hearn confirms Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury WILL happen in 2021 – but warns UK fans at least one fight could happen in Saudi Arabia or even China
Despite rival promoter allegedly championing the fight taking place in Manchester or London at a football stadium, Hearn has admitted the financial lure of taking the fight to the Middle East or even China is likely to prove too strong for the British pair.
Hearn told Sportsday on talkSPORT 2: “It’s very easy for people to sit down and say, ‘this fight MUST happen in the UK!’
“This is a sport where both fighters put their health and their faculty and sometimes their life on the line.
“You can’t expect fighters in a fight of this magnitude, the ultimate fight of their career, to take half the money to do it in the UK.
“We’re in a situation at the moment in this country and, at the moment rightfully so, where the government doesn’t invest money to bring major sporting events to this country.
“They’ve got enough on their plate; they certainly shouldn’t be looking at that at the moment. Yet many countries, and we saw the [Andy] Ruiz fight in Saudi Arabia, have funds in place to bring major sporting events to their countries.
“So a lot of those countries are going to be making major financial plays to stage this fight.
“Ultimately, it won’t be me who decides. It will be the fighters who decide.”
Joshua was stopped emphatically 18 months ago by Ruiz to sacrifice his world titles on his American debut at Madison Square Garden, before reclaiming them before Christmas at the ‘Clash on the Dunes’ in Saudi Arabia.
It is reported the Olympic Gold medallist claimed a whopping £66million as the challenger for that fight – the biggest purse of his lucrative career.
And, despite Hearn insisting both men would relish the chance to fight in front of their home fans, money is likely to dictate the location of at least one of the bouts.
He added: “If you go to a fighter and their teams and, pulling numbers out of the sky, say you have £50m to fight in the UK or you have £100m to do the fight in the Middle East, it’s a very short conversation.
“Because they understand the risks involved. If you ask Tyson and you ask AJ, ‘where do you want this fight to happen?’ – blimey, obviously in the UK!
“Two British heavyweight world champions and we will do everything we can to make the fight here, by the way.
“But, we can’t ignore the other offers. I would certainly like to see one of the two fights, because it will be two fights, in the UK.
“And I do believe that is what the fighters want as well. But even in the current environment, there has been a number of sizeable approaches from around the world to stage this fight – the biggest fight in boxing.”

Camp Eddie got told straight from Mike Tyson who was the draw and was going to win. First time I’ve heard Eddie shut up.

Is this just using Fury’s name to hype up AJ-Pulev?
Hearn saying, “we’re one phone call away”..
He’s been saying that since 2018..

Funnily enough id worry about usyk beating aj but am quite confident aj beats fury. He has the punch variety to catch him.

AJ's vulnerable and dangerous in turns, but poses a major threat.
The most interesting aspect for me is that AJ bullies when he feels on top, whereas Fury turns aggressive when he's hurt. Complete opposites in that regard.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - TBA
I think Fury would make easy work of AJ. Joshua likes the fight on his terms. Slowish pace, at distance, pick shots and admire his work. ai think Fury would maul all over him and break down, quickly.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - TBA
Not sure that's his best strategy, but shh - don't tell everyone !
AJ has a puncher's chance against anyone in history - he's fast, explosive and massive.

"beaten every man he's faced"
do you want to back Fury @ 8/11 or what ?

8/11 is good odds, i make Fury big favourite over the stiff robot that can't take a shot.

With a heavy heart I might have to bet big on fury here to soften the blow of AJ losing .

Fury pts it’s the obvious choice for me. I think he just gives AJ too many looks and feints all night and can dance his way through exposing AJs weaknesses. AJ will likely stay in the fight due to his power and Tyson not fully pressing until AJ is mentally and physically tired.
AJ best bet is to duck for 3 years and hope Fury’s powers and commitment to boxing deteriorates.
