Louis Long or Lasse Overas (Øverås)

Does anybody know anything about a professional boxer by the name "Louis Long". His real name was Lasse Øverås and he emigrated from Norway to the USA. I think he was boxing in the USA around 1900. The story told here in Norway is that the opponent in his last match was killed, an event that made him give up boxing. He purportedly never lost a match before that.
