Fury is no superman, dropped by a cruiserweight, let’s see how he reacts now he thinks he’s Mike Tyson, when he gets clocked marauding in against his “overmatched” opponent - Joshua wins TKO 6

All depends on how Fury fights really. If he’s extremely negative like he was against Wlad, he probably wins a terrible fight on points. If he comes to fight like he did against Wilder 2, it could go either way.

I would love it mate. The problem is Fury has the heart of an all-time great. The way he regained his legs in that final round vs Wilder was jaw-dropping. Plus, although I thought Wlad stank vs Fury, Tyson did make things awkward with his feints and movement.

Joshua can put his shots together better than Wilder and has a more varied artillery than Wlad, but he can’t afford to wait like he did for spells vs Pulev, he has to put it on Tyson and keep working. the evidence is there that Fury can handle it otherwise

Ya Fury got dropped by a light hitting cruiser. got dropped by Nev Pajkic too. and beaten by big john. obviously no way he can possibly beat wlad or Wilder or get up from big shots from the best bois

From his reaction last night I don't think AJ wants it.

I think it's more likely Fury will drop his belt, so that he's a mandatory for Joshua in a different organisation, rather than AJ dropping one.

lean fury but it's a live fight for sure

people talk about fury's mindset, motivation, etc.....but i imagine he would be 100 percent up for this one

Fury's jab, movement and inside game is better. He's quicker and more elusive.

Joshua has more power. He times right hand and uppercuts well.

Fury's chin is very good though, much better than Joshua's. Also Fury has more guts.

Joshua either a methodical jabber or a spurting powerhouse.

Fury can box, Fury can fight rough.

Fury will outjab Joshua and he has enough tools to neutralize Jushua's spurts. His power can be enough to hurt Joshua.

There are clearly more advantages on the side of the Gypsy King.

Do you not think that Fury has developed massively since then?
I held a similar view before he fought Wlad.

Yes of course he’s developed massively since then, so much so that most seem to think he’s up there with Muhammad Ali now ...of course he’s got a great heart and in his usual ultra cautious style he’d boringly outpoint AJ.

But my take is that with the whole world thinking this is an easy one for fury, he’s probably believing that too, I think he could quite easily walk on to a big shot in his over confidence, and then unlike against Wilder he’d find him self in with someone who can really put his shots together..plus the AJ chin will probably hold up well against the arm punching gypsy king

I’ll definitely be putting a bet on Josh

We all know Fury talks a lot of nonsense, and how he says he will KO Joshua in 2-3 ends suggest he would be on the front foot and aggressive .. but Fury is a clever fighter. He will know steaming into Joshua is puts himself at greater risk ... So it would be a stinker where he tries to clinche, tie-up and maul himself to a wide points victory.

I think Fury makes a plan to win and won't worry about stinking the place out to do it.

However maybe he will think that Wilder 2 tactics will work here. His trainer typically is a more aggressive tactician

Fury has got to be a big favourite. He does everything better than AJ. The only department AJ is better in is power but that’s not a massive issue considering Fury got up off the floor from the biggest puncher in the division. I think Fury wins by stoppage with AJ gassed late on.
I’ve always thought Fury beats AJ and nothing that I seen has convinced me otherwise

Wilder 2 tactics are wrong for this fight. Wilder literally didn’t have a clue what was happening when he wasn’t allowed to plant his feet. AJ is better than that.

Absolutely no way Fury will fight like that.

Why hasn't Fury taken a keep busy fight this year ? I know it's all contractual bull but surely inactivity ain't doing him no favours ,
Is there no way around paperwork to at least keep busy ?
Top heavyweights , covid aside don't seems to want to fight all that often and the money they earn I don't suppose they have to .
For my tuppenceworth I think Joshua stops Fury .

For a "fighting man" he sure doesn't like to fight much. Especially when it means a lower purse, which is weird considering he doesn't care about money. :maybe:

Its probably the dilemma of fighting the soft touches Fury appears less interested and more at risk of slipping up - and against the better opposition there is always the `only takes one punch` risk.

Fury is clearly all about making as much money as he can and getting out of boxing; I think he just doesnt want to take any risks and get the huge pay days with Joshua as soon as possible. Sooner those two fights happen the sooner he can put all his weight back on.

He could retire now. He’s hardly risk averse.... Germany, L.A, Vegas....

When you are rich, keep busy fights might not stack up. What's left out of a million quid when all expenses and tax are accounted for? 300k maybe. A lot to you or I but maybe not enough for a guy in Tyson's position.

Some top fighters don't take many fights, or short notice fights, for drug cycling reasons.

Then there are contractual bits and Bob's we might not understand or be privy to.

Fury has travelled twice against the best on offer and barely lost a round in reality.

AJ would lose a wife UD or bee stopped if they Fury who smashed up Wilder turns up.

AJ is NOT as cavalier as Fury when it comes to taking challenges.

AJ ducked Wilder imo. AJ wants no part of Wilders power.

I think AJ would fight anybody but he is shrewd enough to listen to Rob Mccracken (or Eddie is) and I suspect that is why the Wilder fight didn't materialise. Wilder is so unconventional and powerful he's not right for a guy like AJ who is a natural competitor but not a natural boxer.

He unanimously lost rounds against both Wlad and Wilder. Nobody ducked Wilder, that's been exposed several times. Wilder was also not the best on offer.

The facts are AJ said give me $50M and the fights on. Then they negotiated out of it.

Fury just said “Tell me when and where”.

When I’m not privy to the ins and outs I go with my gut instinct. AJ and Hearn ducked him.

My opinion.

Fury beats AJ. AJ will NEVER fight Wilder.
