Figures the one I miss. My mom's funeral was Friday and I stayed at my sister's. Yesterday was the anniversary of her dad's passing so I stayed again and didn't have my charger!Baby Face Finster wrote: ↑13 Dec 2020, 02:21 That was the best UFC card I have seen in a long time. The way Charles Oliveira dominated Tony Ferguson was so impressive, and the main event was the best fight of the year. Figueiredo and Moreno blasted each other with power shots for 5 straight rounds.

Oh man. I am so sorry for your loss. My deepest condolences. Never easy to lose a parent. Was it from her bout with Covid?Onetimeonly wrote: ↑13 Dec 2020, 18:31Figures the one I miss. Thank you. It couldn't have helped but it turns out she had undiagnosed late stage lung cancer.Baby Face Finster wrote: ↑13 Dec 2020, 18:39Oh man. I am so sorry for your loss. My deepest condolences. Shocking because she was in the hospital with pneumonia before I moved out to look after her and had her at a lung specialist two weeks before she passed. Certainly makes you wonder about the severity of the side affects.

I’m glad to read that. good wages for him. You could of course be right about him getting cut.jujigatame wrote: ↑13 Dec 2020, 17:59I'm pretty sure he's making very good money considering his position in the division these days. I saw 2 different estimates of his earnings for last night's fight and one was $210K and one was $310K. I'd actually be concerned that he'll be cut soon because he makes too much and isn't a serious contender any more.Wee Tommy wrote: ↑13 Dec 2020, 13:45I’ve not actually seen his fight yet but he can’t have much left. That he’s down in the prelims after all that time says he’s not making money so he should be looking to get into his next career asap before his brain is mushjujigatame wrote: ↑13 Dec 2020, 12:35
I think he would make an excellent step-up fight for Arnold Allen (could be a good UK main event post-COVID) but I wonder how many fights he even has left at this point. He seems to take serious damage every time out, and a 16-year, 38-fight career is nothing to sneeze at.![]()

Thanks all. As shocking as the undetected lung cancer was. A lot of solace that she was with me and went in a night in the hospital. I did have Oliveira at +125. Bad match up for scarface, did Tony look finished?

They have quite a few prospects at 45, really good gatekeeper and he's been there forever. The UFC is pretty loyal to long term action fighters, but I'd be shocked if his reported purses are that high.Wee Tommy wrote: ↑13 Dec 2020, 20:42I’m glad to read that. good wages for him. Sorry for your loss Saad. Glad to hear you're with family.
While Tony didn't look as good as he has, once again his opponent put on a flawless performance, albeit differently to Gaethje's.
Also Oliveira caught him in a brutal arm bar at the end of the first, which Tony refused to tap, so likely was in a great deal of pain for most of the fight with a busted arm.

I think those estimates include various bonuses and sponsor pay. Although one of them is claiming a $200k guarantee which would be surprising to me.
And I'm really sorry about your mom. Mine has a history of lung issues herself (bacterial infections) and It's been a very nervous 9 months since COVID showed up.

The guarantee is 95. Thank you, she had no lung issues. Even the day she died her oxygen level was excellent. Best of health for your mom.jujigatame wrote: ↑13 Dec 2020, 23:22I think those estimates include various bonuses and sponsor pay. Absolutely, between UFC, Canelo, and SHO it's a big night. This is the rare UFC card on ESPN+ with several interesting fights on it.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑14 Dec 2020, 00:41The guarantee is 95. Yea totally, it's almost like a PPV card minus the main event. I knew there was an ESPN+ card this weekend but had no idea who was on it.

He’s pissed everyone off it seems (apart from the nutters), even the devout Muslim lad at work. I mean, I’m pretty much in man love with him just for jumping the cage, which like Fury doing fking Batman at the Klit conference, was the kind of utter genius moment I’d forgive a bloke nearly anything for, and even I say fck him.kevo wrote: ↑18 Dec 2020, 15:33Who do you think hates khabib more, you or Saad?
