Unless the decline is precipitous I think a win against him means something for any relatively inexperienced heavyweight
Its a very bad fight when joyce is so close to a title shot.

It would be a bloody good punch up. Totally worthy of the British title and Joyce can be the heavyweight to restore some glory to the Lonsdale belt.

Before the plethora of shite titles came along this pairing would grace the British title nicely.

The world heavyweight championship is now tied up for 2021 with AJ & Fury supposedly squaring off. There's a chance that WBO title could be snared from Joshua with Usyk pushing his claims, but that's a lot of ifs. In the meantime Joyce v Chisora would deliver entertainment for the fans, no question :box:

How dominant are we at heavyweight right now? Not only all the major world belts, but the EBU and Commonwealth as well.

Anyway, Joyce wins this any way he wants to. Chisora is smaller, has miles more on the clock, and is up against a tough relentless fùcker with solid fundamentals. Good top 15 name value but not a lot else.

Whyte demands a decent payday.
Not sure if it could generate the money. I've seen worse PPV's, but I haven't paid for them

kiwi i know mate, was kinda talking more hypothetically mate , because i said the same when people said jj v usyk ,as boxing people say yes please , only people with little interest say who. but if jj did beat whyte that would catapulted him in top 5 huge pay days, i think he can beat whyte, no doubt he beats chisora but why risk a fight with him ,

I would sooner see Chisora fight DDD assuming he is going to fight again.

It's a decent fight for the fans because Chisora would make Joe work. It's the type of banana skin fight you'd avoid when you're high in the rankings though. Probably a no goer on that basis.

 That it would! Which is why I wouldn't complain too much if it came next, but like I said Joyce has earned his professional rematch against Usyk for one of the marbles at least should everything work out like it should do.

So maybe Joyce vs Chisora in-between, then? I'd buy it. It would be a far more fun fight than that load of old crap on Saturday.

I totally get where the "boxing business" comments are coming from & that this fight doesn't necessarily serve Joyce well, but you know Joe will churn the punches out and if Chisora can muster another big effort... :box:

Just think of some of the low level pairings the British title has seen down the years, with all 3 titles on the line this restores the bar considerably and Joyce is clearly not one for ducking anyone.
