Either Eubank by decision after out-boxing Jackson or Jackson caught him flush on the chin with a big right hand, but in the later rounds like in the 10th than he KO Herol Graham in 4 rounds.

Might go for Eubank......that chin was granite and he was brutally strong at MW.

Eubank could be a lazy, just-enough fighter at times (all very maddening) but when he had to go into the trenches with a quality guy he was determined, organised and often found a way.

Benn got his tactics wrong in their first, brutal fight in Birmingham but Chris still got hit with some nasty shots that would have crumpled other guys and he was still there and able to begin to systematically unpick Benn.

I only saw a few of Jackson‘s fights. From what I saw, he wasn’t that amazing apart from his power. Therefore, avoid getting cracked by him and you‘ll beat him, at least at the elite level. That’s why I‘d go with Eubank.

Due to Eubank's toughness I gotta favor Eubank here as well.

Eubank on points. Despite Eubank's toughness, it still wouldn't be much surprising, if Jackson caught him clean and knocked out cold, while being behind. But it wouldn't be very likely.

Eubank didn't fight any of the top Black Americans, no Jones no Toney no McClellan.
Didn't even fight Mike McCallum from Jamaica.
Eubank was a very good domestic fighter.
Herol and Michael fought McCallum, Nigel fought McClellan, who did Eubank fight ?

That's the nail hit on the head and the overall frustration with the Eubank career resume.
He never had the benchmark kind of fight against a really top American.

It tended to be Dan Schommer, Tony Thornton or the Canadian Dan Sherry

Although..... it should be added that the quality of Eubank's domestic opposition was very high indeed and would include Benn (twice) and Watson (twice) as well as Calzaghe and the Collins fights.

But Benn fought Barkley and De Witt over in the US and the G-Man up at SMW and went over to Italy and properly stuffed Galvano up too. And winning in Italy is not a walk in the park.

That's why I still have Benn above Eubank....even if Chris edged their head-to-head encounters.
